Disney regularly runs promotions through a dedicated site on their page showing you up-to-date discounts on their tickets by being a Florida resident. These deals are usually multi-day park passes that can save you sometimes upwards of 60% off.
With annual passes continuing to rise, getting Florida Resident tickets could present an outstanding deal for Floridians that want to save money on their visits to the parks.
In this article, we will touch on all the particulars of ‘how’ to get these tickets, whether you are eligible, and the different promotions available to YOU right now.
(NEWS) Disney Current Florida Resident Tickets Offers
*(We are still waiting on the special Florida Resident offers for 2025. Below are the offers for 2024.)
Sometimes throughout the year, Disney will offer special Florida Resident deals that can save you even more money than the standard ones they run. Currently they are running a 3 and 4-Day Disney Discovery Ticket.
These allow you to visit anytime between April 2nd and September 28th, 2024.

- 4-Day Disney Discovery Ticket: $235 for all ages (Tax not included)
For the 4-Day ticket that comes out to only $59 per day, plus tax, a very economical way to visit the parks.
These tickets can be used during the week or on the weekends. You can also add the Water Park & Sports Option, Park Hopper, or Park Hopper Plus at a significant discount. Keep in mind you will NEED to make Park Reservations with these tickets. The cost for each add-on is as follows:
- Water Park & Sports add-on is $37.28 per ticket (Tax included)
- Park Hopper add-on is $42.60 per ticket (Tax included)
- Park Hopper Plus add-on is $58.58 per ticket (Tax included)
Naturally, these are great sellers, and many Florida residents regularly take advantage of these offers, especially with the continued upticks of the Annual Pass prices. All adults will need to show proof of Florida residency to purchase this Weekday Magic ticket offer.
Standard Florida Resident Tickets for 2025
In addition to the special offer we talked about above, Disney also offers the standard Florida Resident Tickets. These allow guests to save up to 40% on 3 and 4-day tickets when comparing them to the price of non-Florida resident deals.
Remember these are date-based tickets that will require you to choose your start date.
1-Day Tickets – Florida residents, unfortunately, do not normally any discounts on standard 1-day tickets. However, they get significant discounts on add-ons for their 1-day park pass. They can add on either the park hopper or the park hopper plus at significant discounts from non-residents.
2-Day Tickets (Not currently offered) – Currently there is only 1, 3, and 4-Day Florida Resident Tickets available. In prior years they have offered 2-Day Ticket options.
3-Day Tickets – Simply put, this is a 3-day base ticket that is discounted. Typically, it is around 30% off the regular ticket prices, depending on the ticket prices for those days. Just like with all tickets now, they are all date-based and you have to input your dates before purchasing your tickets.
You can add the park hopper option, the water park and sports option, and the park hopper plus for a sizable discount as well. These tickets expire, just like regular tickets, after the final date of the range you selected at purchase.
4-Day Tickets – A 4-day base ticket that is discounted. Similar to the 3-day tickets, the discount on the 4-day right now is about 40% off regular ticket prices, depending on the dates you select.
You will also have the option to add the park hopper, the water park and sports option, or the park hopper plus for a discount. These tickets expire, just like regular tickets, after the final date of the range you selected at purchase.
Florida Resident Annual Passes – Disney typically has 3 annual passes that are ONLY available for Florida residents, upon proof of Florida residency. These 3 annual passes, the Sorcerer Pass, the Pirate Pass, and the Pixie Dust Pass all have different rules and blackout dates. They all greatly differ in price as well. We will get into the specifics of these below.
Thankfully, right now all Annual Pass types are available for new passholders. We were so disappointed when they weren’t on sale during the height of the pandemic, but they’ve remained on sale now for nearly a year consecutively!
Add-on Options
When purchasing tickets, you’ll want to really think about whether it is worth it to purchase the add-on experiences. In many cases, as is the case this year, Disney greatly discounts these add-on experiences for Florida Residents often making it worth it! What exactly are the add-ons for Florida Residents?
Park Hopper – This option allows you to visit any or as many of the (4) theme parks as you want in the course of the day. We are SO glad to report that park hopping has returned to its ‘no limitations’ rules after January 9th, 2024!
Park Hopper Plus – This option combines both of the other above options. You can park hop AND you can enjoy access to the water parks, and golf course, and play miniature golf on each day of your ticket.
Water Park & Sports – This option allows you to visit one of the two Disney water parks (Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach), play 9 holes of golf at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, or play miniature golf on each day of your ticket.
For instance, if you purchase a 3-day Florida Resident Disney Park pass with this option, you can visit one of the Disney water parks or play golf for 3 additional days. Just be sure to check when your ticket expires. Your expiration date depends on how many park admission days you purchase.
The Water Parks and Sports options is NOT available for 1-day tickets.

Here are the current prices for Disney World Florida Resident tickets *(Not Including Taxes):

- Base Ticket Price Range: $109 – $189 (Depending on the park and dates selected)
- Park Hopper Price Range: $165 – $230

3-Day Florida Resident Tickets

In reality, buying a 1-Day Florida Resident Base ticket won’t save you any money, the only savings is when you purchase one of the add-ons like the park hopper option which right now is about $40 per ticket.
There is an even bigger discount with 3 and 4-Day tickets and you will save at least 30% on Base tickets plus an extra $40-$55 per ticket per day if you go for one of the Park Hopper add-ons.
Keep in mind, Park Reservations are NO longer required for most standard ticket types!
Getting Discounted FL Discount Tickets through Ticket Resellers
Besides purchasing discounted FL Resident tickets directly through Disney, you can also purchase them through select authorized ticket resellers such as Undercover Tourist for more savings.
Just remember that all adults will still need to show proof of Florida residency at the park entrance.
Florida residents can also purchase discounted tickets for children 17 years and under, even if they don’t live in Florida. The adult/s just need to make sure they are present at the parks the first time the tickets are used to prove that they have residency in FL even if the child doesn’t.
1-Day Florida Resident Tickets
Rarely does Disney ever offer substantial savings off of Base 1-Day tickets, even for Florida residents, but they do offer other incentives for Floridians which is the case in 2024 as well.
Basics
The 1-Day Florida Resident ticket gives you entry into one of the 4 Walt Disney World theme parks for one day (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom).
Despite 1-Day base tickets still costing the same, whether you are a resident or not, they do offer savings on the add-on experiences.
What that means is, purchasing the add-ons such as the: Park Hopper, Park Hopper Plus, or the Water Parks and Sports option will be significantly discounted for you. You will save around $30 per ticket.
Who Should Get this Pass
If you know for sure you will not be visiting the parks again and only need a 1-day ticket, purchasing a 1-day Florida Resident ticket could be worth it, although they are expensive. A 3 or 4-Day ticket is going to get you more value for your money per day.
For added value, purchasing one of the add-on experiences could be the best value considering you’ll be saving money on these experiences. This allows you to visit multiple parks on the same day.
Or if you want to stretch out your trip, by purchasing the Water Park and Sports option you can visit the water parks or play golf on another day.
2-Day Florida Resident Tickets
*At this moment the only way to purchase a 2-Day Florida Resident Ticket is through the short-time promotion of the 2-Day Disney Thrills Ticket, which expires on March 15, 2024.
Basics
While in the past we’ve seen 2-Day Standard Florida Residents appear, that is not currently the case. Guests will need to purchase either the 3 or 4-Day Florida Resident Ticket.
3-Day Florida Resident Tickets
Right now, Disney is offering 3-day base tickets for Floridians that are typically around 30% of the regular cost of base price tickets. This of course is dependent on the time chosen, considering that Disney utilizes a date-based scheduling system to determine the price per day.
Basics
The 3-Day Florida Resident ticket gives you entry into the Walt Disney World theme parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom) for 3 days.
This ticket comes as a base ticket but can easily be upgraded to add the park hopper option, park hopper plus, or the water park and sports option at an additional cost. When upgrading these tickets, they come at a greatly reduced discount to the normal amount for non-residents.
These tickets expire at the end of the range selected for the days chosen upon checkout, so make sure to check our Disney World Tickets Expiration Guide to see how those are calculated.
Who Should Get this Pass
This ticket is for Floridians that only prefer to do a few days a year at the parks and don’t feel the need to get an annual pass. 3 days could be enough to fill your park void for the year. It is a nice discounted rate and if choosing to upgrade to the hopper option, you can easily get all the parks in.
Just keep in mind these tickets expire and you can’t spread them out over the calendar year. Again, make sure you check the expiration date on the tickets when utilizing them.
4-Day Florida Resident Tickets
Just like the 3-day Florida Resident tickets, these park tickets are available at greatly reduced rates (Usually about 40% less than the regular rates). The nice thing about the 4-day pass is you don’t necessarily need to add the park hopper option to see all four of the main Disney theme parks.
Basics
The 4-Day Florida Resident ticket gives you entry into the Walt Disney World theme parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom) for 4 days.
For an added fee, these tickets can be upgraded to add the park hopper, park hopper plus, or the water park and sports option. If you decide to do so, you’ll save greatly over non-residents.
Who Should Get this Pass
Similarly to the 3-day pass, this could be a great option for Floridians that don’t feel they need an annual pass because they only want to visit the parks for a few days a year. Again, this is fine as long as you realize the days will all be close together and not spread out over months.
It could also be beneficial for those that enjoy doing weekend trips to the Orlando area or convention travelers that live in-state and have extra days around that time to spend in the parks.
It also might not be a bad idea for grandparents that live in Florida to purchase these tickets for young ones 17 and under that are traveling from out of state. As long as you enter the park with them and show your Florida residency, it’ll save your grandkids significant amounts of money.
Is the Park Hopper Option Worth it for Florida Residents?
A Florida Resident ticket for Disney World may or may not be worth it depending on your situation and how many days you plan on visiting the parks.
If I’m getting a 1-day or a 3-day park pass, I’m most likely adding the park hopper option. For the reduced rate to add-on for Florida residents, it makes more sense than normal.
If you are getting a 4-day pass, there isn’t as much of a need to get the park hopper option if planned properly. Because with a 4-day pass you could, even without the hopper option, still enjoy all 4 parks spread out over the 4 days if you so choose.
Read our Disney World Park Hopper Guide for more info on how it works as well as our best tips and tricks.
Florida Resident Annual Passes
If you are a Florida resident and looking for something longer than just a 4-day ticket, Disney World offers Florida Resident Annual Passes which give you many more days to enjoy the parks, at a much lower price than normal.
Florida Residents have access to 4 different annual passes although only 3 are exclusively for Florida Residents. At this point, all 4 of them are currently available for new passholders, having come back online in April 2023.
We don’t know how long sales will last, hopefully, they don’t stop making them available for new passholders anytime soon. Check out our Disney World Annual Pass Guide for more info on when that could happen.
The Pixie Dust Pass, the Sorcerer Pass, and the Pirate Pass, are only available to Florida residents to purchase, meanwhile the Incredi-Pass is also available to non-Florida residents. All of them can be renewed each year if you are an existing passholder.
A nice benefit of being a Florida resident is they allow for monthly install payments as opposed to lump sum payments for non-residents.
Each of the four Disney World Annual Passes has different perks and comes in at completely different price points. With the cheaper prices come more blackout dates.
With the more expensive pass comes more availability, in fact, it has zero blackout dates which means you can visit Walt Disney World any day of the year you like (as long as you get a Park Pass reservation).
Keep in mind you must show proof of Florida residency to activate the 3 exclusive Florida Resident passes upon park entry for the first time.
If you have an annual pass already and are looking to renew it, you can do so on the My Disney Experience app or website or at the theme park ticket booths at any one of the parks.
Let’s look at an overview of each of the 4 different annual passes.
Sorcerer Pass
The Sorcerer Pass is the most expensive and inclusive of the Florida Resident-Only annual passes. It is only available for Florida residents and DVC members.
It provides unlimited admission to all 4 of the theme parks while providing very few blackout dates (only 19 days) and it also includes free parking for the parks.
With the Sorcerer Pass, the only real blackout dates would include the main holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve. But make sure you check first park availability first, they occasionally will blockout other days.
With the Sorcerer Pass, you can make up to 5 park reservations at any one time. Keep in mind, if you have Disney Hotel Reservations, you can have additional park reservations. (Based on how many nights you are staying at a Disney Hotel.)
There are two different prices for each of the passes. A new passholder price and a renewal price, which means that you already are a passholder of this pass. Here are the prices including all taxes:
- New Passholder Sorcerer Pass price is $1,079 plus tax
- Renewal Sorcerer Pass price is $929 plus tax
Florida residents can choose to make install payments each month of $79 per month with $205 down. Renewals are slightly cheaper at about a 15% discount, making it more affordable to keep each year.
- If choosing to add unlimited PhotoPass downloads, this can be added for an additional $105.44.
- Also, the Water Park and Sports Option, allowing for water park visits can also be added for an additional $105.44.

The Pirate Pass is the middle-of-the-road annual pass that provides a nice balance between saving money and some blackout days and it is ONLY for Florida Residents.
This pass also includes unlimited theme park admissions for the 4 main theme parks and you also get unlimited free parking here for free.
There are more blackout dates with the Pirate Pass (75), and these mostly consist of the main holidays and holiday weekends, and some additional Saturdays throughout the year. As always, check Disney’s reservation site to see if there are additional blackout dates. Occasionally there are some other random ones as well.
With the Pirate Pass, you can make 4 park reservations at one time. Similarly, if you have hotel reservations for one of the Disney parks, you get the ability to make additional reservations. (Based on how many nights you are staying in your resort.)

- Renewal Pirate Pass price is $709 plus tax

Pixie Dust Pass
The Pixie Dust Pass is the cheapest of the annual passes and it is specifically for Florida Residents ONLY.

With the Pixie Dust Pass, the blackout dates are fairly extensive. In fact, there are 161 blackout dates which is almost half the year. They would include all the main holidays and holiday weekends AND all Saturdays and most Sundays as well. As always, check Disney’s reservation site to see if there are additional blackout dates.
With the Pixie Dust Pass, you can only make 3 park reservations at one time. However, if you have hotel reservations for one of the Disney parks, you get the ability to make additional reservations. (Based on how many nights you are staying in your resort.)
Here are the prices including all taxes.
- New Passholder Pixie Dust Pass price is $469 plus tax
- Renewal Pixie Dust Pass price is $399 plus tax
Florida residents choosing to use the Florida Monthly Resident Program can pay in monthly payments of $25 per month with $205 down.
Renewals are slightly cheaper at about a 15% discount, making it more affordable to keep it each year.
- If choosing to add unlimited PhotoPass downloads, this can be added for an additional $105.44. Renewals would cost $90.52.
- The Water Park and Sports Option, allowing for water park visits can also be added for an additional $105.44.
Incredi-Pass
The Incredi-Pass is the most expensive of the annual passes. It is not limited to Florida residents but is still available to them, in fact, this is also the only annual pass that out-of-state guests can purchase when it’s available.
This pass also includes unlimited theme park reservations for the 4 main theme parks. You also get free unlimited parking with this pass at all the theme parks.
With the Incredi-Pass, the blackout dates are non-existent! You can visit the parks on any day of your choosing as long as you make a park reservation.
With the Incredi-Pass, you can make 5 park reservations at one time. Similarly, if you have hotel reservations for one of the Disney parks, you get the ability to make additional reservations. (Based on how many nights you are staying in your resort.)
Here are the prices including all taxes.
- New Passholder Incredi-Pass price is $1,549 plus tax
- Renewal Incredi-Pass price is $1,299 plus tax
ONLY Florida residents can pay in monthly payments which cost $121 per month with $205 down. Out-of-state visitors that want to purchase the Incredi-Pass must pay the full amount upfront, the monthly payment plan is ONLY for Florida residents.
Renewals are slightly cheaper at about a 15% discount, making it more affordable to keep each year.
- If choosing to add unlimited PhotoPass downloads, this can be added for an additional $105.44. Renewals would cost $90.52.
- The Water Park and Sports Option, allowing for water park visits can also be added for an additional $105.44. Renewals would cost $90.52.

Florida Resident Annual Pass Payment Options
Starting back in 2010, Disney World began offering Florida residents a new opportunity to begin using a monthly payment program, making it more affordable for families that want to purchase annual passes.
It can be done online with new annual passes or can be done for new annual passes and renewals at any Disney World ticket booth or Guest Relations location. To do it online, simply go to: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/passes/renew/
To take part in the program, you will need to set up an automatic payment program for the 12 months following an initial down payment (if you don’t want any interest or finance charges). You will need to use either a credit or a debit card. You can pay the minimum each month or you can pay off the balance as soon as you want.
Cheapest Discount Disney World Tickets
If you are looking to save money on Disney World theme park tickets, our personal recommendation is Orlando Vacation. They almost always have the best prices on multi-day tickets and can save you $20-$60 per ticket over buying direct from Disney.
How Does Disney Know You Are a Florida Resident?
So if Florida residents get such good deals on Disney World tickets, why doesn’t everyone just say they are a Florida resident? Because it’s not as easy as that, you have to prove you are a Florida resident.
If you do not actually live in Florida full-time, you are not eligible for these tickets. So how do you prove it then?
To prove your Florida Residency, you’ll need to confirm that you have a Florida Residential Address. For each ticket or pass purchased for an adult over the age of 18, you’ll need to provide any of the following:
- Valid Florida driver’s license with a valid Florida address
- Florida state-issued ID with a valid Florida address
- Florida-based military ID
Disney has made this easier and has allowed you to prove your residency online through Disneyworld.com or on the My Disney Experience app, rather than having to go to Guest Relations when you arrive at the parks.
But what if you don’t have these things?
Then you must provide one of the following (dated within the last two months):
- Proof of Current Mortgage within the past 2 months
- Bills, Policies, or Registrations such as:
- Homeowner’s insurance, automobile insurance bill, utility bill, etc
- Mail from financial institutions or federal, state, county, or city agencies
Additional members of the same family only need to show proof that you have the same residential address.
*P.O. Boxes are not accepted as proof of residency. You must show an actual Florida Residential address.
Blackout Dates for Florida Residents
For both Florida Annual Passes and the Florida Discounted 1, 3, and 4-day tickets, Disney has blackout dates. Make sure you are aware in advance of what the blackout dates are so that you don’t purchase a ticket that you won’t be able to use on the days you want to use it.
Keep in mind that you will need to select the week during which you will use the tickets if you are purchasing the 1, 3, or 4-day ticketing plans for Florida residents. They will expire if you don’t use them before their expiration date, which will be shortly after the range of dates you selected.
As a rule, the cheaper resident passes or annual passes are subject to blackout dates which are usually the more popular days to visit the parks (ex. Weekends & Holidays). If you are interested in visiting any of these days make sure your ticket allows you to during those times.
- To see the latest Disney World Annual Pass Blackout Dates check on the Disney World website here.
How to Buy Your Florida Resident Disney Tickets
To get Florida Resident tickets, follow these steps:
STEP 1: Create a Disney account or sign into your My Disney Experience app.
- Listing your Florida address will automatically inform you that you can get Florida resident discounts on ticket purchases
STEP 2: Figure out exactly what park ticket you want. Do you want the 1-day, 3-day, or 4-day ticket? Do you want to add a park hopper? Do you want the water parks and sports option?
STEP 3: Next, purchase your tickets either through Disney directly, or another authorized seller of Disney tickets such as Undercover Tourist.
- Look at the Reservation Calendar first to make sure your dates have availability
- Keep in mind not all authorized Disney ticket sellers can get you the Florida Resident discounts. You’ll be prompted to select the dates on which you plan on attending the parks.
STEP 4: Before checkout, you’ll be asked to prove your Florida residency. Make sure you have your documentation ready to upload to be able to receive your discount!
STEP 5: After you purchase your tickets, now it is time to make your Disney Park Pass reservations. To do this, simply:
- Log in to your Disney or My Disney Experience account. Create your party with the “Friends and Family” list. You’ll be able to connect with everyone easily in your group.
- Choose the dates on which you want to visit each park. Review the reservation and then confirm it. Once it’s confirmed, you’ll be able to see all your reservations in ‘My Plans.’ Don’t worry, you can change and adjust the park reservations later if you need to, assuming there is still availability.
To get the Florida Resident discounts, you can purchase them directly through Disney here or if you need more help, with an Authorized Disney Travel Agent like Show You the World Travel.
How to Decide Which Florida Resident Ticket is Right for You?
When deciding which Florida Resident you should purchase, the most important thing to figure out is how many days you reasonably want to visit the parks. This will decide if you need one of the smaller Florida resident tickets like a 3 or 4-Day ticket or an annual pass.
In our opinion:
Get the 1-day Florida Resident ticket IF:
- You know for a fact you’ll only be visiting the parks one day and on a specific day AND you want to take advantage of the park hopping option to purchase this option at a discounted rate.
Get the 3-day Florida Resident ticket IF:
- You want to go to the parks multiple times in a short period. If you have family visiting or you are taking a weekend trip to the Orlando area.
Get the 4-day Florida Resident ticket IF:
- You want to visit all 4 Disney Parks in a short period. This is ideal if you are in the Orlando area and have several days to visit the parks.
Keep in mind that these tickets will expire after the range you selected at checkout! They all have expiration dates.
Annual Pass – Typically, we don’t recommend people consider annual passes unless they do the math and know they plan on spending enough days in the parks in a given 365 days.
For Florida residents, deciding to purchase an annual pass allows for far more leniency. It allows you to stretch out your visits, and if planned carefully, it can financially be worth it as opposed to the shorter Florida resident ticketing plans like the 1, 3, or 4-day discounted Florida tickets that are currently for sale.
Buying Florida Resident Tickets for Others
What if you live in Florida but have friends or family that don’t live there? Can you buy them Disney World tickets with a Florida resident discount?
Disney’s policies state that every adult ticket requires proof of Florida residency, but for those under the age of 18 and not under the ‘adult’ tag, it can be a great idea! For instance, if you live in Florida and you want to purchase Florida Resident tickets for your grandchildren that are 17 or under, you can!
Just keep in mind that YOU (as the Florida resident), would need to show proof of Florida Residency upon the first activation of the tickets at the gate.
If on the other hand, you want to buy tickets for adults who live out of state, you are not allowed to do this under Disney’s rules and they will not be permitted entry to the theme parks.
Optional Add-Ons
When purchasing your tickets, some additional add-on experiences are worth considering to make your trip even more special. But they do cost extra. Let’s touch on these.
MagicBands
MagicBands are watch-looking devices that one wears on either wrist and give you extra features in the parks. They typically cost anywhere between $20 and $50 each and come in a plethora of different Disney-themed designs.
They are used for a variety of different things to make your life simpler! Things such as:
- Unlocking hotel doors to access your Disney Resort Room
- Entering the theme parks
- Purchasing things throughout the parks or anywhere around the Walt Disney World Resort
- And much much more!
They simply connect to your credit or debit card to make purchases. They are assigned a PIN that you can create to make purchases.
Guests are not required to use a MagicBand, and if you don’t have one, Disney will give you a Key to the World Card that stores your information instead.
Read our Guide to MagicBand+ for more info on the latest version, including all the new features guests can use like gesture recognition, colored lights, and interactive games they can use them in the parks.
Lightning Lane Single and Multi Pass
As you may have heard, Genie+ has been replaced by the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass at Walt Disney World and it has changed quite a few things for guests.
- There are now 2 pay-to-ride reservation services: Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass is very similar to Genie+ and FastPass+ before that, and it allows you skip the standby queue for attractions by moving through the “Lightning Lane” instead. That means a ton less time waiting in line.
Guests can make reservations for attractions they want to ride through the My Disney Experience app. Once the reservation has been made they are given a one-hour return time. Guests then come back during that time slot to ride.
Like FastPass+, Lightning Lane Multi Pass reservations can be made 3 at a time prior to your trip. Guests staying at a Disney World Resort can book them 7 days prior to the start of their trip whereas non Disney Resort guests only have 3 days prior.
The only thing is that Lightning Lane Multi Pass is NOT free and it comes with an extra charge to use it. Lightning Lane Multi Pass costs usually around $15 and $35 per day, per guest.
Another service is the Lightning Lane Single Pass selections. This is another pay-to-ride service separate from Multi Pass, and with another additional cost. Unlike Multi Pass which gives you access to many attractions, Lightning Lane Single Pass selections allow you to pay to ride just one attraction at a time.
Once purchased, you can make and reserve ride reservations simply. You’ll choose a ‘Return Window’ where you can enter the ‘Lightning Lane’ ride queue with little wait.
We’ve written a lot on Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass in this Guide here, so we recommend giving that a read before you finish planning your trip. If you have a really big budget, you may also consider the Lightning Lane Premier Pass which takes it to a whole other level.
Florida Resident Tickets vs. Other Discounted Disney Tickets
The savings on Florida Resident Tickets in almost every instance is going to beat other discounted tickets. While you can save some money purchasing multi-day tickets through some of the authorized Disney ticket sellers, they won’t reach 30-40% off like the Florida Resident Tickets routinely do.
If you are a Florida Resident and also a member of the military, the military discounts are worth looking into as a comparison tool. They can sometimes be close or in some instances, work better for your family.
Read our Guide to Discounted Disney World Tickets for more detailed info and where to buy them.
Other Current Disney World Deals for Florida Residents
Florida Residents frequently get access to several other deals, including Disney World hotel discounts.
Current Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Discount
Right now, there are big discounts on Walt Disney World Resort hotels for Annual Passholders in 2024. Let’s take a look:
Early 2025 Offer
In the current offer, Florida residents are able to save between 20% – 30% on hotel rooms at select Disney Resorts from January 1st 2024 to April 30th, 2025.
Proof of Florida residency is required at check-in.
- Additional per-adult charges may apply if more than 2 adults per room at Disney Value, Moderate and Deluxe Resorts, and Studios at Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts.
- Cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion.
- Advance reservations required.
- Offer excludes the following room types: Offer excludes 3-Bedroom villas and Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Proof of Florida residency required at check-in.
- Valid admission is required to enjoy theme parks and is not included in this offer.
The percentage of savings varies from resort to resort, so check our Guide to Disney World Discounts for the latest info and details, or check the Special Offers page on the Walt Disney World website.
They frequently run other kinds of promotions so check out our list of the Best Disney World Resorts for ideas on where to stay.
Other Discounts
To save money on food, Disney previously offered something called “Tables in Wonderland” for an additional cost (an extra $150 or so) which gave a 20% discount on Food and Beverage (including alcohol) for the cardholder and 9 other guests.
This was a fantastic discount program and the only discount that Disney had on getting discounts on alcohol. Unfortunately, Disney has not resumed this program since the parks closed in 2020. We are still holding on to hope that this program resumes!
Recently, they also ran a Florida Resident deal on visiting the Disney World Water Parks (Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach) for $69 plus tax last summer.
Keep an eye on these deals, they frequently run promotions scattered throughout the year.
Best Way to Save Big $$$ on Disney Resorts
If you want to potentially save thousands of dollars on your next trip to Disney World, I personally recommend David’s DVC Rentals. They consistently have the best prices and biggest selection of Disney Villas that will make you ask yourself: “How do they do it?”
FAQs
Are Disney World Annual Passes Only for Florida Residents?
Typically, no. Disney World Annual Passes are available to guests from anywhere to buy without geographic restrictions.
Generally, Disney has 4 different annual passes, and 3 of those passes are specifically for Florida residents with 1 of them being for out-of-state guests AND Florida residents.
Does a Florida Resident Have to be Present for Disney Tickets?
Yes. To utilize a Florida Resident Discounted Ticket upon first entry, a Florida resident needs to show proof of residency at the gate along with a valid ID.
Are there Discounts at the EPCOT Festivals for Florida Residents?
No, there are no discounts at the EPCOT festivals such as the Food and Wine Festival, Flower and Garden, or Festival of the Arts. Previously, Disney would run promotions after certain times of the day for Florida Residents so they can take advantage of the festivals.
These discounts have not been re-introduced since the start of the date-based ticketing system and we highly doubt that they will for a long, long time.
Can a Florida Resident Bring a Guest to Disney World?
No, at least not for free. All guests need a valid park pass admission and a park reservation (until January 9th) to enter any of the 4 Disney World Theme Parks.
Can I Combine a Florida Resident Discount with Another One?
No. Florida resident discounts cannot be combined with other discounts, you must choose one or the other. And in almost every instance, Florida Resident Discounts are the best.
Review the different discounts first, just to make sure the one you are choosing saves the most money.
Is Disneyland Cheaper if You Are a Florida Resident?
Unfortunately, Disneyland tickets are not cheaper if you are a Florida resident. In the past, they’ve run special promotions to visit both parks at a discount for Florida residents, but they are not offering them at this time.
Ways to Get Discounts for Non-Florida Residents
If you’re NOT a Florida resident, how can you save money? Here are our favorite ways:
- Take advantage of the Advanced Purchase Discount – Ticket purchases of 3 days or longer will save $21.30 when purchased in advance online or over the phone
- Use an authorized Disney ticket reseller – Ones such as Orlando Vacation or Undercover Tourist can give you big savings. They will normally save on average $30-$60 on multi-day tickets per person as opposed to buying directly from Disney.
- Stay longer – Per day prices drop significantly the longer you stay. 1-day base tickets can cost upwards of over $150 (on busier days) per day whereas 10-day tickets can work out to less than $60 a day.
- Utilize your days in each park – Rather than getting a park hopper, get a base ticket and use your days in each individual park. If you are tired, leave the park in the heat of the day and return to the same park later in the evening.
- Adjust your dates – Consider coming when park passes are cheaper such as January, February, August, or September. This could save families hundreds of dollars on tickets alone, let alone on hotels and flights.
- Adjust your starting date – Disney Park ticket prices are based on your “Starting Date.” If you’re starting date is set to a Saturday, the cost of your tickets could be more expensive. Adjust the range of when you can use your tickets. Change the starting date to potentially a day or two before your initial date and see if that drops the price.
- Take your kids before they turn 3 – Kids under 3 are free so do you really need another reason to go?
These are some of our favorite ways to save money on Disney World tickets and they should help you no matter what your budget is!

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
