Due to the current park restrictions, we had a feeling this was coming eventually and today Disney confirmed that they are canceling all dates for the 2020 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Even with Disney World reopening on July 11, It only makes to cancel Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. There are too many of the party’s main attractions not running at this time.
Disney is not able to have stage shows, parades and fireworks at this time so it just wouldn’t be worth the price of admission for the event to have guests come anyway. Not to mention all the candy being passed around.
Disney said this was a very difficult decision to make, but one that had to be done.
Guests who have already purchased tickets for the 2020 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, will be given a full refund for the price of the event. Refunds will be given in the coming weeks.
This is not the only Disney World special event canceled during this period. It was just announced that the Disney H2O Glow Nights at Typhoon Lagoon will also be canceled. Both of these events are joining Disney After Hours and the Disney Villains After Hours events that had already been canceled.
At this time we still don’t know if Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays events will take place in 2020. Disney is playing it by ear and monitoring the situation closely.
On a positive note however, they did announce the dates for the 2020 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. It starts on July 15, 2020, and will be the longest-running festival EPCOT has ever had.
Stay tuned for more info on all these Disney World Special events and we’ll update you for any more cancellations as they happen.
