Looking for the absolute best places to eat breakfast at Walt Disney World so you are ready to go on an action-packed day in the theme parks? Or maybe you are just hanging out at your resort for the day and looking for a relaxing breakfast. Either way we’ve got you covered with our ranking of the best Disney World breakfasts!
In this post, we are going to share with you all the best places to eat breakfast in Walt Disney World and the “must-get” items on the menu at each restaurant.
It doesn’t matter if you are looking for a quick breakfast in the parks between rides, a sit-down breakfast buffet in your resort hotel, or a character breakfast where you can meet your favorite Disney personalities, we’ve got the best choices in every category.
After all, you know the old adage: “breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” I don’t know if that is actually true or not, but I LOVE breakfast and have a hard time going without it, and I don’t see why you should have to even on your Disney World vacation.
Of course, you shouldn’t leave anything to chance and even breakfast should be planned out if possible to maximize your day. For example, you shouldn’t plan a big sit-down buffet if your plan is to hit as many attractions as possible that day.
Also, not all of the restaurants we’ve tried over the years at Walt Disney World are worthy of your time or money and you should steer clear from these traps.
Over the years we’ve tried them all, and even though they may be extremely popular (hello Chef Mickey’s), we didn’t necessarily put them on our list. We think you should only spend your time at the best places and not over-priced cookie-cutter meals.
Before we get into our ranking, you may want to check out our Guide to the Best Character Breakfasts at Disney World if you are looking for that type of meal. You should also read our ranking of the Best Restaurants at Disney World for the best places to eat for every meal.

Breakfast Overview at Disney World
Guests visiting Walt Disney World can get a wide variety of breakfasts depending on where they visit. Disney offers meals that are more character-centric, more quality-centric, and more experience-centric, and our personal favorite, a combination of all of them!
Often guests think that breakfasts in Disney World consist of microwaved eggs and bacon on a plate, and while some of the quick-service locations do have food like that (yuck!), the nicer breakfasts within Disney do much better!
We won’t focus on those types of places, this article specifically focuses on the BEST places to go.
So if you LOVE breakfast, this is the article for you! That means our choices below COULD be quick options, but in a lot of instances, they are more sit-down meals.
But even if you’re not the biggest fan of breakfast or of the notion that “breakfast is the most important meal of the day”, I think you’ll still find some tiny little nuggets in here that will help you in finding something in the morning hours of your Disney World Visit.
Throughout this article, we will help you focus on making a wise decision when it comes to getting breakfast at Walt Disney World. In our rankings of the best 21 breakfasts, you’ll see why we believe these are the best and we’ll help you make the best choices for your family!
Ranking Factors
Picking out the best places for breakfast may seem easy, but when considering our ranking factors, there are several important things to keep in mind. Everyone’s taste buds can be slightly different and everyone’s view of quality, experience, and service can differ from visit to visit.
In our ranking factors we will focus on these main attributes:
- The originality of the food offerings
- The price-to-quality ratio
- The overall presentation of the meal
- The quality of the service and any special Disney touches
- The ease of getting to the restaurant
- The overall theming
These are the main overall attributes we will be looking for when it comes to our rankings. We don’t want carbon-copy food offerings at different places. Nor do we want overpriced food offerings that can be easily attained at the quick-service locations throughout the resorts for a fraction of the cost.
Honestly, not all Disney Breakfasts are great, and it’s quite likely that you’ve had a meal or two that certainly wasn’t worth the exorbitant prices that you had to pay for it.
This is the current rankings in 2025, but as more open and existing ones change, we will continue to update the list. While you might not agree perfectly with our rankings, we are pretty confident if you follow our suggestions you’ll have a really great overall experience.
Best Places for Breakfast at Disney World (RANKED)
Now that you see what our ranking factors are for putting together our list, we will get to our list! We thought long and hard about it and considered our experiences each time.
We also factored in others’ views in our traveling parties and family. While yours can be unique to you, these rankings are unique to me.
In this list, we are going to focus on a wide variety of options, from sit-down meals to quick grab-and-go options, of which Disney has in multitude. We will also mention the places that are only open for brunch on certain days of the week.
Without further ado, let’s get to our ranking of the best breakfast in Disney World…
21. Main Street Bakery
- Location: Magic Kingdom
- Dining Style: Quick-service restaurant
- Cuisine: Traditional Starbucks plus additional baked goods
- Price: $
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. Either a Quick-Service Credit or a Snack Credit depending on your order.
While we would have ranked the former Main Street Bakery FAR higher in our rankings, the new and lesser version of the Main Street Bakery is still good. In 2013, the former Main Street Bakery with more original snacks and treats transformed into the Starbucks Location now at the Magic Kingdom.
This Main Street Bakery/Starbucks location has all of the typical Starbucks drinks and snacks, with a few additional Disney items as well. We miss several of the old items that they haven’t brought bad sadly, (Apple turnovers I’m talking about you) but there are still some things here worth getting.
There are few better things in Walt Disney World than walking down Main Street U.S.A and smelling the coffee and treats coming through the doors here! It’s iconic and makes you want to stop in and grab something.
Plus it’s the perfect place to start our day when getting to Magic Kingdom, with a great big Starbucks Iced Coffee!
What to Get:
- Iced Coffee – Regardless of what you think of Starbucks, starting the day with a nice Iced Drink is a great way to cool you down.
- Chocolate-Hazelnut Bear Claw – An original Disney snack here that has been a fan-favorite over in Frontierland can now be purchased here as well! If you like Nutella you will love this!
Good For Kids?: Yes, it will have your typical Starbucks menu. There are plenty of reasonably priced snack offerings here on the menu for kids.
20. House of Blues
- Location: Disney Springs
- Dining Style: Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays
- Cuisine: Southern American
- Price: $$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. 1 Table-Service credit will be required
Coming in at 20th on our list, surprisingly, is House of Blues. You’re probably thinking “House of Blues, really?!” And I’m here to tell you “YUP!” We have been shocked at how good House of Blues is for brunch! It’s only serving brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, but it’s absolutely worth visiting!
With live music and $15 Bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys, the House of Blues is a great time for adults. We love their selections of food, with its Southern American inspiration and if you’re there after 12:00, you can also order for the entire menu, which will give you additional offerings.
With easy access to the West Side of Disney Springs, and incredibly affordable prices for breakfast, the House of Blues offers a la carte offerings for guests that want to relax and just have a great ole’ time. We’d highly recommend making a reservation here, as it can get very popular, especially on Sunday mornings.
What to Get:
- Bread Pudding – We are suckers for bread pudding, but I’m here to tell you the House of Blues Bread Pudding with toffee sauce and bourbon hard sauce, is one of our favorite underrated desserts in all of Disney World!
- Brisket Hash – Combining brisket, home fries, cotija cheese, and eggs is as good as it sounds!
Good For Kids?: Not really. While kids that aren’t fussy will be able to find something here, it’s got more of an adult vibe.
19. Ronto Roasters
- Location: Hollywood Studios
- Dining Style: Quick-service restaurant
- Cuisine: Star Wars-inspired Breakfast
- Price: $
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. Either a Quick-Service Credit or a Snack Credit depending on your order.
This uniquely-themed Star Wars-inspired Quick-Service location is found in the Marketplace area of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios. It’s one of the most unique quick-service locations in all of Disney World that actually has the chops to back it up!
While there are a few additional offerings, the two Ronto Wraps offered for breakfast are ridiculously good! We often debate in our minds about which one to get:
- The Ronto Morning Wrap with eggs, cheese, sausage, and peppercorn sauce in Pita Bread OR
- The Standard Ronto Wrap which has roasted pork, sausage, cole slaw, and peppercorn sausage in Pita Bread
We’ve had times when we’ve preferred one or the other, but for breakfast, you can get either option! At around $13 each, this is a great quick breakfast for each member of the family. We’d highly recommend you do a Mobile Order here, as it can get quite popular and lines can get long.
For vegans and plant-based eaters, the Triple Suns Breakfast Wrap is actually really tasty! I know quite a few plant-based eaters and even non-plant-based eaters that have thoroughly enjoyed this! It’s absolutely worth a shout, and something we’d recommend you try. You might actually love it!
Between the fun theming, unique presentation, and tasty bites, we LOVE Ronto Roasters in Hollywood Studios and that’s why we put it as the 18th choice of our favorite breakfast in Walt Disney World.
What to Get:
- One of the Ronto Wrap – We love both, but we’d recommend getting the Morning Wrap one with eggs in the morning, as it’s a more standard breakfast offering.
Good For Kids?: Yes! Kids love it here and if they’re willing to brave it and try something new, we trust that the flavors of the Ronto Wraps (although they look intimidating) won’t be too much for them.

18. Sleepy Hollow Refreshments
- Location: Magic Kingdom
- Dining Style: Quick-service restaurant
- Cuisine: Sweet Treats
- Price: $
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. Either a Quick-Service Credit or a Snack Credit depending on your order.
If you’re a sweets breakfast eater like me, it’s hard to go wrong with #18 on our list, Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom. Located in a small corner over at the Liberty Square portion of the park, Sleepy Hollow can be easy to miss, but make sure you don’t!
With three different types of waffles, two different types of funnel cakes, and a peanut butter and jelly pop, Sleepy Hollow truly is the place to satisfy your sweet tooth. And with all of its breakfast offerings under the $9 threshold, it’s hard to beat the value found here.
It’s a terrific place for families with small kids, because what small kids don’t love waffles, fruit, and funnel cakes?! We also love that it’s found in Magic Kingdom which makes it easy to grab something for breakfast if you don’t have reservations at one of the table-service locations here.
Sleepy Hollow is one of the places we return to over and over again, and it has one of our favorite sweet treats in all of Walt Disney World – the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich!
What to Get:
- Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich – A waffle sandwich with fruit and Nutella can’t possibly be bad, and this is absolutely the case with this. This is a fan-favorite treat in Disney World and one of the best sweet treats in all of the parks.
- Mickey-shaped Waffle with Strawberries – You can’t possibly go wrong with a Mickey-shaped waffle. They just taste better. And add strawberries and whipped cream and it’s somehow even better.
Good For Kids?: Yes. Kids love the options here, but parents might not since it’s all sugar!
17. The BOATHOUSE
- Location: Disney Springs
- Dining Style: Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays
- Cuisine: Seafood-inspired waterfront restaurant
- Price: $$$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. 2 Table-Service credits will be required
Every Saturday and Sunday, The BOATHOUSE has brunch from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. They also have the fun Captain’s Sing-Along which goes on from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, with dueling piano players taking requests and playing songs for guests.
Guests CAN order from a specialized brunch menu but they can also order from the entire menu as well, including all of the appetizers, entrees, and desserts from the full menu. The BOATHOUSE is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Disney World, and you simply can’t go wrong with the brunch here.
While the brunch menu itself is fairly limited and small, the prices are very reasonable in comparison with the rest of the lunch and dinner menus.
You’re better off NOT using your 2-Table Service credits if you’re just getting food off the brunch menu here, as it likely won’t be good value considering the prices aren’t bad for brunch.
The BOATHOUSE is always a great time with good vibes, and it’s even better with the piano players taking requests and playing all of your favorite classic rock hits, and there are some tasty offerings on the brunch menu, just as you would expect.
What to Get:
- Shrimp and Grits – We loved our Shrimp and Grits here, it’s got the perfect amount of flavor and spice. It’s a great offering and will be enough food without being overwhelming.
- Steak and Eggs – Many don’t recognize that The BOATHOUSE is owned by the same folks that own Gibson’s Steakhouse, so ordering steak here is ALWAYS a smart idea. The steak and eggs are tremendous and with a NY strip steak and eggs, you simply can’t go wrong.
Good For Kids?: Yes. Kids love it here and it’s a fun atmosphere for the whole family.
16. Cinderella’s Royal Table
- Location: Magic Kingdom
- Dining Style: Prix-fixe menu selections
- Cuisine: French-Style Breakfast
- Price: $$$$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. 2 Table-Service credits will be required
Eating in Cinderella’s Castle is as whimsical and fun for kids as you’d expect, and it’s something they won’t soon forget. The restaurant is set upstairs in the castle in a medieval-styled room, almost reminiscent of a castle banquet hall.
You’ll enjoy watching your kids get a chance to meet Cinderella along with a rotating mix of Ariel, Aurora, Cinderella, Jasmine, and Snow White. It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many families to be able to enjoy a Princess meal. Disney recognizes that, and they charge for it big time!
The biggest knock on eating here is it’s VERY expensive, especially considering it’s breakfast food. And while the cuisine is fairly good, it isn’t amongst the best breakfast food on our list. You’re paying far more for the experience than you are for the food.
But for kids to have a chance to meet all these Disney Princesses in one spot is pretty special, and with a varied menu, it’s likely that everyone eating here will find something appealing. You’ll also get some stunning views of Magic Kingdom while you’re at breakfast.
What to Get:
- Caramel Apple-stuffed French Toast – For sweeter breakfast eaters that love tasty French Toast.
- Beef Tenderloin and Egg – This steak and eggs of sorts is a solid choice with likely the best value on the menu.
Good For Kids?: Absolutely! It’s one of the best options on this list for kids.
15. Maria & Enzo’s
- Location: Disney Springs
- Dining Style: Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays
- Cuisine: Italian-Style Brunch
- Price: $$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. 1 Table-Service credit will be required
This a la carte brunch is available for guests between 11:30 am and 3:30 pm every Saturday and Sunday and is an under-the-radar option for guests that truly love Italian food! More akin to lunch than breakfast in the offerings here, everything on the menu we’ve found to be REALLY good.
There are a lot of unique offerings here that you won’t find anywhere else, including some truly unique Italian-American breakfast items. Combining spaghetti and eggs isn’t something I’d expect to see on a Disney menu, but they pull it off here!
We love the vibe and the larger dining room setting that almost feels like a big open cafeteria. The prices here are very reasonable considering it’s a sit-down restaurant. It’s comfortable, albeit a little loud, but the value is up there with the best on our list.
Its offerings MIGHT be a little challenging for fussier kids, but if they’re willing to be adventurous we’re sure they’ll like it!
What to Get:
- Crunch Toast – For sweeter eaters that love the idea of a Crunchy Brioche French Toast with Nutella, Mascarpone, and Strawberries!
- Eggs Benedetto – This is a tasty and rich dish that features toasted Focaccia bread, prosciutto, poached eggs, and parmigiano crema. It’s rich but SO good!
Good For Kids?: Somewhat. While it’s not an ideal menu for kids, they’ll likely find something here.
14. Ale & Compass
- Location: Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- Dining Style: Buffet OR A La Carte
- Cuisine: Classic American-style Breakfast
- Price: $$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. 1 Table-Service credit will be required
Coming in at 14th on our list is Ale & Compass, which is located inside Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. What we love about Ale & Compass is its accessibility for EVERYONE. It’s the only restaurant in Disney that offers the choice of buffet OR a la carte.
This means that guests can choose to go with the breakfast buffet and get a variety of different things OR they can go with the full a-la-carte entree list. Honestly, we prefer the entrees from the a la carte menu, as there’s much more variety and some really great selections.
Everyone from kids to adults will find something here, and we’ve found all of the items to be at the very least SOLID. The prices are incredibly reasonable as well, putting them at the lower end of the spectrum for sit-down table-service restaurants.
Although it’s found within a resort, it’s actually just a short walk away from both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios for guests looking for direct access. We think you truly will love Ale & Compass, we actually like it for breakfast much more than dinner.
What to Get:
- Dark Chocolate Waffle – People go crazy for this waffle, especially if you like dark chocolate. While it’s rich, it’s VERY good.
- Crab Cake Benedict – This unique take on a crab cake benedict is really yummy if you like poached eggs and hollandaise.
Good For Kids?: Absolutely! There is a sizable kids’ menu so they’ll easily be able to find something.
13. Whispering Canyon Cafe
- Location: Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort
- Dining Style: A La Carte or Family-style Skillets
- Cuisine: Old West Dining Feel Breakfast
- Price: $$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. 1 Table-Service credit will be required
Whispering Canyon Cafe is a truly unique dining experience that gets points for its originality and authenticity. Sitting inside the Wilderness Lodge Resort’s lobby, the Whispering Canyon Cafe is known for its large all-you-can-eat skillets.
Like 50s Prime Time Cafe in Hollywood Studios, the servers here are fun and get guests involved in all kinds of antics. It’s truly a meal and an experience that will make you laugh and have fun the whole time.
If coming here, you can either choose one of the three all-you-can-eat skillets OR one of the standalone entrees that come a la carte. The skillets are priced per person so if the whole group wants skillets, it won’t be one price. We recommend the skillets as they’ll give you everything you’d ever want, and they’re fun too!
The only drawback is that it can be a little bit more challenging to get over the Wilderness Lodge, as there’s no real easy way to get here and everything takes time. In any case, this is a place for the whole family and we recommend coming here. You won’t regret it!
What to Get:
- The Heritage Skillet – If you’re going to get a breakfast skillet, this is the one to get. With everything you’d imagine there would be, unlimited cheddar biscuits and Mickey waffles are as good as you’d think.
- Western-style Benedict – If opting against the skillets, you can’t go wrong with the Western-style Benedict. With eggs and smoked brisket on a biscuit, this is mighty good!
Good For Kids?: Yes! This is one of the best family-friend restaurants on our list.
12. Grand Floridian Cafe
- Location: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Dining Style: A La Carte
- Cuisine: American-style Breakfast
- Price: $$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. 1 Table-Service credit will be required
Another greatly underrated gem throughout Walt Disney World due to its location, the Grand Floridian Cafe takes a backseat to its sister restaurants in the Grand Floridian, but it is certainly not warranted. In fact, it’s one of our most underrated restaurants in all of Disney World.
While it’s gotten more popular recently, due to the multi-year absence of 1900 Park Fare, it’s worth the increase in popularity (as long as you can still get reservations). Serving more of a brunch-style breakfast each day, the Grand Floridian Cafe has your standard American-style breakfast offerings, but it offers some lunch options as well.
Like the resort, the Grand Floridian Cafe just feels elegant from the moment you walk in the doors perfectly encapsulating the look and feel. With unique takes on classics in addition to more gourmet-style presentations, we love what the Grand Floridian Cafe has to offer for breakfast so much!
If you can’t get into one of the Magic Kingdom Breakfast Restaurants, stop here instead on the way or just walk over here, and come to the Grand Floridian Cafe. We trust you’ll have a better breakfast, get better value, and you’ll go back again!
What to Get:
- Buttermilk-fried Chicken and Waffle – This classic sweet and savory dish combines a little bit of heat from the chicken with the savory from the waffle. It’s very good!
- Brioche French Toast – This Brioche French Toast is scented with Madagascar Vanilla Beans, and you surely won’t regret getting it!
Good For Kids?: Yes. There is a great selection of offerings for kids.
11. Kona Cafe
- Location: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Dining Style: A La Carte
- Cuisine: Hawaiian-inspired Breakfast
- Price: $$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. 1 Table-Service credit will be required
A family favorite of ours which has caused us to go back over and over again, it’s hard to go wrong with the Kona Cafe! Recently redoing the interior of the restaurant, Kona Cafe has even improved its look and its feel.
The lesser known of its nearby restaurant ‘Ohana, we actually prefer Kona Cafe! It’s cheaper, quieter, and we just feel the food is better! Kona Cafe will transport you to the Islands as you get to enjoy a number of Island-themed food and drinks.
If you’re a coffee drinker, you have to get the fresh-pressed Kona Maragogipe Pressed Pot. It’s terrific coffee that you can’t find in too many other places! We also love how budget-friendly the entrees are at Kona Cafe, as you won’t break the bank despite being inside one of the most expensive resorts in Disney, the Polynesian Village Resort.
It’s easy to get here as you’ll be a simple monorail away from “The Most Magical Place on Earth” and the nearby Magic Kingdom Resorts. You’ll also be able to get here directly from EPCOT if you take the monorail from EPCOT to the Transportation and Ticket Center. (TTC)
What to Get:
- Tonga Toast – This Banana-stuffed Sourdough French Toast is outstanding and it’s one of the most popular breakfast items anywhere in Disney World.
- Macadamia Nut Pancakes – The 2nd most popular item on the menu are the Macadamia Nut Pancakes. With a little extra sweetness from the nut butter and the pineapple sauce, some people like these even better than the Tonga Toast.
Good For Kids?: Yes! This is a great spot for kids and with a number of kids’ offerings.
10. 1900 Park Fare
- Location: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Dining Style: Buffet
- Cuisine: Classic American-Style Breakfast Buffet
- Price: $$$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes, 1 Table Service credit
At 10th on our list is the long awaited return of a classic Disney Restaurant – 1900 Park Fare! This beautiful restaurant features early 20th century theming with carousels and whimsical decor. It will transport you to an earlier time with its classic impressionist-style Disney artwork.
While it took almost 4 years for 1900 Park Fare to reopen, we are SO glad it finally did! With it came design upgrades while keeping true to it’s original theming. We are happy with the changes and have found the breakfast to be one of the best buffets as far as uniqueness, better than average quality, and fun character meets.
While the prices come smack down in the middle of the other breakfasts, as you would expect for being in the Grand Floridian, we think it’s worth it! They have some buffet dishes you can’t find in other buffets. What really sets it apart is that it’s the only breakfast that you can enjoy with Aladdin, Mirabel, and Tiana currently! It’s a great place to meet different characters and the interactions are so fun and genuinely great!
What to Get:
- Bread Pudding – This isn’t your standard bread pudding, this is almost like a dessert! It’s got a tasty vanilla sauce on top too. It’s one of the classics here!
- Beef and Potato Hash – If you like tasty scrambles, this casserole dish is very tasty and completely unique!
Good For Kids?: Yes! This is a great spot for kids with the character meets and wide range of breakfast options.
What to Get:
We’d recommend trying the Bread Pudding, the Cheesy Potatoes, and the Cinnamon Pull-apart Bread for breakfast!
9. Cape May Cafe
- Location: Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Dining Style: Character Buffet
- Cuisine: New England-Style
- Price: $$$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. 1 Table-Service credit will be required
Coming in at 9th on our favorite breakfast list is Cape May Cafe, found over at the Beach Club Resort. Cape May Cafe has recently returned to being a buffet breakfast and a character meal again, after being a family-style offering with no characters for a few years.
It has a great selection of characters to meet including visits from Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Minnie Mouse.
Though it’s one of the more expensive offerings on our list due to being a character meal, Cape May Cafe can be a great use of a dining credit if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan (only costing 1 Dining Credit).
We love the beachy theme of the restaurant, transporting you to the New England beaches, and this relaxed and fun character spot serves all of your favorite Classic American-style offerings.
It’s also easy to get to and just a short walk away from both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, since it’s ideally situated on the other side of the Disney BoardWalk. And while we are disappointed that there is no Mickey Mouse here, it’s got solid food and it’s fairly easy to get reservations here which makes it worth it.
What to Get:
- Salted Caramel Beach Buns – The star of the show is these caramel beach buns. They are sweet and salty all at the same time!
- Creamy Cheddar Grits – These cheddar grits are a great complement to your eggs, they are really tasty.
Good For Kids?: Yes! Kids love being with the characters and its menu will certainly appeal to them.
8. Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie
- Location: EPCOT (France Pavilion)
- Dining Style: Quick-service restaurant
- Cuisine: French Bakery
- Price: $
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. Either a Quick-Service Credit or a Snack Credit depending on your order.
Located in the back of the France Pavilion inside of EPCOT, Les Halles is arguably one of the best quick-service restaurants in all of Walt Disney World, easily making it to the 8th position on our list of favorite breakfasts.
There’s no place you’ll get more variety, better value, and just terrific authentic French-based items than Les Halles. Opening up with the park each morning, Les Halles is one of the only places in World Showcase where you can actually grab food before World Showcase opens up at 11:00 am.
Not surprisingly, it’s still crowded even though there are generally few people in World Showcase the first couple hours of the morning. And while this isn’t breakfast in the typical sense, it’s a bakery with offerings that you can eat at any time of the day!
There are so many good things here, and it’s honestly very difficult to decide! But with most of the items being in the $3-$8 range, it’s easy to get a few things to try without breaking the bank.
You won’t hear too many negatives about Les Halles, and we highly recommend it if you’re going to be in EPCOT in the morning (or any time of the day really).
What to Get:
- Croque Monsieur – We go crazy for this thing. It’s essentially tasty French Bread that is baked with cheese and ham. It’s very good for breakfast or lunch.
- Napoleon – It’s hard to pick a pastry here as there are so many. We’d recommend trying a few but we really like the Napoleons, as it’s a classic French-style pasty.
Good For Kids?: Yes. There are so many things on the menu here for kids!

7. Raglan Road
- Location: Disney Springs
- Dining Style: A La Carte Brunch on Saturday and Sunday
- Cuisine: Full Irish Breakfast
- Price: $$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. 1 Table-Service credit will be required
At 7th on our list of the best breakfasts in Disney World is Raglan Road. Offering brunch on Saturdays and Sundays opening up at 10:00 am, Raglan Road is another quietly gaining steam restaurant in Disney Springs that is now offering brunch!
We love the authenticity of this full-on Irish Breakfast and we wish they offered it more regularly! It fits in perfectly with the interior of the restaurant and the true Irish theming, and the brunch pulls no punches.
With items such as black and white pudding, scrumpet, and pork schnitzel, it’s truly a unique offering that you won’t find anywhere else on Disney World property.
If you’re not as much of an adventurous eater, you don’t have to eat off the brunch menu. You can get anything off the standard lunch menu, which makes it a little more accessible for some guests.
We also love that it’s at Disney Springs, centrally located, so it’s easy to get to for practically every guest visiting or staying at Walt Disney World. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and while it can be a little bit noisy if you’re sitting inside, the ambiance helps make it the way it is!
We find that the portion sizes of here are generally HUGE and you absolutely get your money’s worth. To me Raglan Road is just a memorable time no matter who you are!
What to Get:
- The Irish Poker – Poached eggs and pork belly, how can you go wrong? This is a really tasty Irish dish!
- Full Irish – It’s almost imperative for you to get a full Irish breakfast to get the authentic feel of the restaurant. Don’t worry you’ll love some of the items on here!
Good For Kids?: Yes. There is a more traditional kids’ menu offering a wide variety of selections.
6. Tusker House
- Location: Animal Kingdom
- Dining Style: Buffet
- Cuisine: African-inspired breakfast with some American Classics
- Price: $$$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. 1 Table-Service credit will be required
Next up on our list is the ever-popular Tusker House, found inside the African section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. This is one of the best in-park meals anywhere and it combines the best elements of characters and food.
At Tusker House you’ll meet Daisy, Donald, Goofy, and Mickey in their adorable Safari Outfits! And while the African-inspired cuisine can throw you off and make you think the family won’t like it, we have not found that to be the case at all!
The cuisine here isn’t outlandish or overly challenging for picky eaters, as it also has a lot more traditional American-style offerings than you’d expect. There are a many things on the buffet that are worth trying, none of them have overly strong or unique flavors.
We love Tusker House, not only have we found the character experiences to be great and fun, but we’ve found our service to be great each time we’ve gone. The buffet stations are terrific and there are some really worthwhile dishes that will make you want to go back for seconds!
And the best part of all is that they have POG juice, our favorite non-alcoholic drink in Disney World!
What to Get:
- Overnight Oats – Not something we originally wanted but we tried them and they were really good!
- Zebra Coffee Cake – You can’t go wrong with this tasty coffee cake that you can only find here.
Good For Kids?: Yes. This fun character meal will allow kids to meet 4 beloved Disney Characters while eating some tasty foods.
5. Steakhouse 71
- Location: Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Dining Style: A La Carte
- Cuisine: Traditional American-style Breakfast
- Price: $$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. 1 Table-Service credit will be required
Getting more and more popular as a breakfast spot is the newest restaurant on our list, Steakhouse 71. After formerly being The Wave, Disney reimagined The Wave to Steakhouse 71 at the end of 2021 and it hasn’t disappointed.
It’s found on the ground floor of the Contemporary Resort and is generally thought of as a lunch or dinner spot, but I’m here to tell you, it’s got GREAT breakfast too! It has a terrific and varied menu with a wide variety of standard American offerings that will appeal to everyone in your travel group.
Not only do we find the menu selection great, but the food is terrific! With high-quality offerings and incredible price points, the breakfast at Steakhouse 71 might be the best value in all of Disney World! If you’re looking for a restaurant to visit for breakfast, book a table here immediately.
To get there, simply visit Disney’s Magic Kingdom and just take the 5-min walk to the Contemporary. And the breakfast at Steakhouse 71 will be better than what you’d find inside Magic Kingdom!
What to Get:
- Walt’s Prime Rib Hash – As if the name alone isn’t a reason to order this, the entree actually backs it up! This prime hash is delicious.
- Steak and Eggs – Being a steakhouse, I think it’s a right of passage that you have to get some kind of beef here.
Good For Kids?: Yes. There is a sizable menu for kids of all ages.
4. Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’
- Location: Disney Springs
- Dining Style: A La Carte Breakfast Brunch
- Cuisine: Southern-Style Breakfast
- Price: $$$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. 1 Table-Service credit will be required
At 4th on our list of best breakfasts in Walt Disney World is the brunch found at Homecomin’. This incredibly hard ADR to get is absolutely worth the effort if you are lucky enough to get a reservation. Homecomin’ is open for brunch on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 9:30 am, is one of our favorite brunches in all of Disney World!
While we love it here at all times of the day, the brunch even takes it up a notch. There are some truly unique offerings on the menu that you can’t get at any other time. It’s just always such a great time, and we’ve never had a meal here where we’ve been disappointed with.
Sure, the prices here can be a tad bit more than some of the other restaurants on our list, but the quality more than makes up for it. With the ability to sit inside, outside, or at the back undercover patio area, there is something for everyone at Homecomin’.
And while it’s more than family-friendly, including some really fun offerings for kids, it’s even better for adults. The unique drinks here, including their moonshine cocktails, are amongst our favorite places to grab drinks in all of Disney World.
What to Get:
- Hallelujah Biscuit – An open-faced biscuit with fried chicken, eggs, pimento cheese, bacon, and gravy. What more do I need to say?!
- Hush Puppy Benedict – Housemade Hush Puppies with their fried chicken tenders with eggs, country ham, and pimento hollandaise. This is so rich but really good!
Good For Kids?: Yes although the brunch menu is a bit limited. It’s better for adults.
3. Garden Grill Restaurant
- Location: EPCOT
- Dining Style: Family-style Character Meal
- Cuisine: Traditional American Breakfast
- Price: $$$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. 1 Table-Service credit will be required
Coming in at 3rd on the list is our favorite in-park breakfast in all of Disney World, and that’s Garden Grill! Located inside the Land Pavilion in EPCOT, at the Garden Grill you’ll get the opportunity to enjoy up-close visits from Chip, Dale, Mickey, and Pluto!
This is one of the most unique dining experiences in all of Disney World, as you’ll actually be situated inside the Living with the Land attraction! This restaurant slowly circles around the ride, and you’ll see different scenes of the ride while you dine. It’s super interesting for the kids!
Not only is the restaurant itself awesome, but the character interactions are arguably the best anywhere in Disney as you get more time with these characters than likely any of the other Character Meals. Usually, they will all circle around our tables over and over again before we leave.
And while character meals can be expensive, if you have the Disney Dining Plan, you can use just 1 Table-Service dining credit here. Also, the Garden Grill is better than most of the buffet options because it’s a family-style offering meaning that your server will bring your food over fresh to your table.
Like a buffet, it’s also all-you-can-eat, but we find the food to be fresher since it hasn’t been sitting out and it’s been cooked FOR us. Not only that, but the food here is really good!
What to Get:
- Potato Casserole – This ultra-cheesy potato casserole is so tasty, and our table often needs refills.
- Cinnamon Breakfast Loaf – This massive cinnamon roll of sorts is amongst the best cinnamon rolls in Disney. I just can’t stop eating it!
Good For Kids?: Yes! This is one of our favorite character meals in Disney World. You can’t go wrong with Garden Grill for kids.
2. Boma – Flavors of Africa
- Location: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Dining Style: Buffet
- Cuisine: African-inspired breakfast with some American Classics
- Price: $$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. 1 Table-Service credit will be required
At 2nd on our list of favorite breakfasts in Disney World is Boma – Flavors of Africa! Situated on the ground floor over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Boma is truly a memorable meal! There are so many things we love about this place, including its incredible variety of offerings.
Like Tusker House, don’t let its African-inspired cuisine make you hesitant because there are some truly tasty things here. The carved station and the wide variety of different sweet treats and African-inspired dishes are just the beginning.
We love its theming and you’ll truly feel like you’re in the middle of a lively African Marketplace with its thatched roofs and African decor. Even the tables are built to be shaped like the continent of Africa!
While the prices have come up considerably in the last few years, it’s still only at $37 for adults which makes Boma the cheapest breakfast buffet in Disney World. And considering the quality and the theming, it’s still quite remarkable!
Another thing we love about Boma is you’ll also be able to order the POG juice, our favorite juice in Disney World. It pairs perfectly with your breakfast here, and I’m sure you’ll want refills!
Of course, getting to the Animal Kingdom Lodge isn’t always easy or convenient, but it’s absolutely worth it to come to Boma at least once!
What to Get:
- French Toast Bread Pudding – My favorite thing on the buffet. This bread pudding with the pecan sauce on it is SO good. While it might not look appealing, trust me, get it!
- Lion King Waffles – Just like the Mickey Waffles, but with Lion King characters on them. The only place you’ll find these!
Good For Kids?: Yes. While there are no characters here, the menu and the buffet style will appeal to kids. There are a number of items on the buffets they’ll like as well as traditional American-style breakfast items.
1. Topolino’s Terrace
- Location: Disney’s Rivera Resort
- Dining Style: Prix-Fixe Menu
- Cuisine: Italian-Inspired Breakfast
- Price: $$$
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes. 1 Table-Service credit will be required
Just as was the case in our favorite character breakfasts in all of Disney World, we have the same winner for our favorite overall breakfast in all of Disney World, it’s Topolino’s Terrace! Combining an unbelievable experience with the authenticity of the character experience, Topolino’s is like nowhere else on Disney Property!
First, it has stunning views since it’s situated atop the stunning Riviera Resort. So not only will you enjoy a high-end and classy vibe for breakfast, but you’ll also have some of the best views in Disney!
While Topolino’s feels like luxury, don’t let that fool you! It’s also a character breakfast with Daisy, Donald, Mickey, and Minnie! Each character is in an adorable Italian Riviera outfit, perfectly blending in with the Mediterranean theming of the Resort.
The little show they put on for guests every 20-30 minutes is such a great time, and completely different than anywhere else! Kids have so much fun at this restaurant!
But don’t be fooled, this isn’t a character breakfast that strictly accommodates kids. The quality of the food is outstanding! It is a HUGE upgrade from most of the others on our list. Everything about the meals here just feels fresh, and it’s evident in every bite of food.
The pricing here is also far more reasonable than you’d expect considering the quality AND the characters. In fact, if you’re using the Dining Plan, it is only 1 Table-Service Credit.
Also, being situated right on the Disney Skyliner, getting here isn’t as hard as you’d imagine. There is convenient Skyliner access from a number of Disney Resorts in addition to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.
The only slight negative is the portion sizes here can be a little small in comparison with some of the other options. We are in love with Topolino’s Terrace for so many reasons, and we’re positive that you will too!
What to Get:
- Wood-fired Butchers Steak – Topolino’s has terrific quality beef, and we’d highly recommend getting this dish. We loved it!
- Sour Cream Waffle – The perfect amount of flavor and fluffiness in this waffle, it pairs perfectly with the fruits and the meat of your choice.
Good For Kids?: Yes! The characters here are so much fun and they spend a lot of time with the young ones.
Best Breakfast at Magic Kingdom
In this section, we are going to talk about our favorite breakfasts specifically when it comes to the theme parks. In each of these below sections, we will touch on our favorite quick breakfast, our favorite sit-down table-service breakfast, and our favorite place to get coffee.
Ok, let’s first start with Disney’s Magic Kingdom…
Best Quick Breakfast: Sleepy Hollow Refreshments
Sleepy Hollow Refreshments is easily our favorite quick breakfast in Magic Kingdom. Having the option to get different waffles and different funnel cakes for breakfast, couldn’t possibly be bad right?! The good news is despite the high amounts of sugar, a lot of it comes from fresh fruit!
We love Sleepy Hollow, so if you’re looking for something quick in Magic Kingdom go here and get the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich.
Best Sit Down Breakfast: Cinderella’s Royal Table
While it’s quite expensive, Cinderella’s Royal Table is an unforgettable meal for kids that want to be in the center of Cinderella’s Castle. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience and the best place for a child to get a chance to meet so many Disney Princesses in one spot.
Where to Get Coffee: Main Street Bakery
While we do like Joffrey’s Revive in Tomorrowland, we have to say our first choice is normally the Main Street Bakery. Depending on how you feel about Starbucks will ultimately alter how you feel about this choice.
Not only is it a full-service Starbucks location, but they also have some original Disney snack offerings here. Plus it’s incredibly iconic and situated right on Main Street U.S.A.
Best Breakfast at EPCOT
EPCOT has a number of good sit-down options for breakfast, and considering the ‘Best Of’ for each category was a bear for us to decide. Here are our picks for EPCOT:
Best Quick Breakfast: Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie
The French Bakery Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie in EPCOT is delicious! There is truly something for everyone there, especially if you like sweet treats for breakfast. And with the price point that the snacks are offered at, it’s impossible to beat it.
Best Sit Down Breakfast: Garden Grill
The best family-style meal in Disney World, and our 3rd favorite breakfast choice overall is EPCOT’s Garden Grill. Situated inside The Land Pavilion, the Garden Grill is terrific for so many reasons.
The characters, the food, the theming, and the ride! It’s hard to top Garden Grill, it’s a great choice and you’ll rarely hear a negative word about it.
Where to Get Coffee: Joffrey’s Coffee
With 5 different locations both inside and outside EPCOT, Joffrey’s has a number of tasty offerings. We love some of the iced coffee selections and better yet, most of their donuts are terrific! We are also major fans of their gigantic cinnamon rolls.
And during the festivals, they have a number of specialty cocktails and coffee beverages that are worth trying.
Sure the Starbucks at Connections Cafe and Eatery is good, but when in EPCOT we prefer Joffrey’s.
Best Breakfast at Hollywood Studios
While Hollywood Studios doesn’t have as many options as the other two parks, they have a number of great quick-service offerings for breakfast. Here are our picks for Hollywood Studios:
Best Quick Breakfast: Ronto Roasters
Ronto Roasters in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is a terrific option for a quick breakfast. With three different Ronto wraps available for breakfast, I’d recommend trying each of them. But for breakfast, we tend to stick with the breakfast one with eggs.
Best Sit Down Breakfast: Hollywood & Vine
While it didn’t make our Top-21 list, Hollywood & Vine has a reasonably good character breakfast that is incredibly reasonably priced for a character meal inside a Disney Park. There are a few standouts on the menu, including chicken and waffles and really good French Toast.
They also have a fun omelet bar, allowing you to customize your eggs and omelets. We aren’t big fans of the Disney Junior characters, but of course, some kids are!
While it can be hard to get reservations, a breakfast at Hollywood & Vine will generally be at least solid.
Where to Get Coffee: Kat Saka’s Kettle
While this is a more specialty offering, the Cold Brew Black Caf at Kat Saka’s Kettle in Galaxy’s Edge is awesome! It’s topped with sweet cream cheese and chocolate puffs, and while it sounds overly sweet it’s not, it’s actually the perfect balance of sweet and refreshing.
You also can’t go wrong with the Starbucks location at Hollywood Studios, the Trolley Car Cafe which is found right on Hollywood Boulevard. They have some original Hollywood Studios snacks that randomly rotate, including one of our favorites, the carrot cake cookie!
Best Breakfast at Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom has some really pleasant surprises when it comes to breakfast. Most guests visiting here think they’re limited when it comes to breakfast, but they actually aren’t!
Here are our picks for Animal Kingdom:
Best Quick Breakfast: Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafes
The Yak & Yeti Quick-Service location is definitely an under-the-radar option for breakfast. They have all kinds of good things on the menu, including different breakfast bowls and egg sandwiches making it a solid option with fairly good food.
We also give a special mention for the Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery in Africa. They have some really tasty pastries, including the always yummy Colossal Cinnamon Roll.
Best Sit Down Breakfast: Tusker House
Our 6th favorite breakfast and our favorite character buffet breakfast in all of Disney World, we LOVE Tusker House.
Situated in Africa in Animal Kingdom, just in front of the Safari, Tusker House offers families a chance to be their favorite Disney Characters in their adorable safari outfits. Don’t think this is just about the characters because we’ve had truly great meals here too!
An honorable mention goes to Rainforest Cafe at Disney’s Animal Kingdom as well. Most guests don’t recognize that they are open for breakfast too! It’s normally easy to get in, and they have Tonga Toast on the menu if you can’t make it to Kona Cafe.
Where to Get Coffee: Isle of Java
This kiosk is located on Discovery Island right before Asia, and they have some refreshing Joffrey offerings. We love getting a nice cold brew on a hot day in Animal Kingdom, where the temperature always just seems hotter than everywhere else.
Best Resort Breakfasts
What about when it comes to the best resorts for breakfast? In this section, we will touch on the best resort meals for breakfast. Here are our resort breakfast picks:
Best Quick Breakfast: Primo Piatto
Located on the ground floor of the Riviera Resort, we love the Primo Piatto for all meals but it’s especially good for breakfast! In fact, the quality of the breakfast here is on-par with many of the table-service dining options.
We’d highly recommend getting either the Cinnamon Crumble French Toast Bread Pudding or the Croque Madame. Both are splendid!
Best Sit Down Breakfast: Topolino’s Terrace
Located at the same resort as the best quick breakfast, Topolino’s Terrace is number 1 on our best breakfasts, and for good reason! It’s a tremendous breakfast that also includes fantastic views and a great character experience. Everything on the menu is terrific!
Where to Get Coffee: Le Petit Cafe
The Riviera Resort goes 3/3 on categories for breakfast! Le Petit Cafe is amazing, and it’s perhaps our favorite coffee in all of Disney World. In fact, we often take the Disney Skyliner over here just to get our morning coffee.
They have a number of incredibly tasty specialty coffee drinks, and even some good quick bites including French pastries as well.
Best Disney Springs Breakfast
Disney Springs in the past didn’t have too many good options for guests looking to grab breakfasts. That’s thankfully changed in the last few years, especially on the weekends where there are a number of great options now!
Here are our Disney Springs breakfast picks:
Best Quick Breakfast: Amorette’s Patisserie
While we could have gone with Earl of Sandwich, which is also a good option for a more traditional breakfast, we went with our favorite option, Amorette’s Patisserie!
This pastry shop is tremendous with some really incredibly sweet options. From eclairs to crepes to croissants, there are a number of good quick bites for guests looking for a sweeter breakfast.
Best Sit Down Breakfast: Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’
It’s very close between Homecomin’, Raglan Road, Maria & Enzo’s, and the Boathouse. All four are excellent choices for a breakfast brunch!
However, we tend to slightly prefer Homecomin’ based on our experiences. We like their offerings a tad bit better, and they seem to have the best all-around menu. You can’t go wrong with any of them though.
Where to Get Coffee: Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company
While there are a few places to get Joffrey’s in Disney Springs, we really love the actual store location which is located at The Landing in Disney Springs, near The BOATHOUSE.
They have some really great specialty coffee drinks in addition to a number of different sweet treats and even alcoholic beverages. There are also two Starbucks locations in Disney Springs if you need your fix from back home.

Best All You Can Eat Breakfast
While all-you-can-eat breakfasts in Disney World can differ based on their location, there are also different types of all-you-can-eat breakfasts available. Some of them are buffet offerings, and some are family-style offerings.
In this section, we will touch on our favorite all-you-can-eat, no matter what type it is.
Winner: Boma
The popular buffet spot Boma is the clear winner for us for two main reasons: value and quality. The cheapest all-you-can-eat breakfast on this list by a considerable margin, Boma doesn’t focus on characters or being located in a Disney Theme Park.
While it can be a little bit of a hassle getting over to its location at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, it’s worth it! Their food is terrific, as are the theming and the overall experience.
Runner Up: Garden Grill
Our runner-up is the Garden Grill located at EPCOT. While it’s a family-style offering we find their food to be both unique and tasty. Being that it’s a family-style offering, we find their food to be incredibly fresh and the character interactions to be top-notch for the entire family!
Best Character Breakfast
In this section, we are going to focus on our favorite character breakfasts. There are a number of terrific character breakfasts as we wrote about recently in our post.
It can be hard to choose which one, as they can be very expensive, and at times the food is just OK. Here are our picks for character breakfasts that are both fun and good:
Winner: Topolino’s Terrace
As we wrote about over here, our favorite character breakfast just like our favorite overall breakfast has to be Topolino’s, located over at the Riviera Resort.
It’s got a unique character exchange with a fun little performance by the characters every 20-30 minutes. It’s unique, and fun, and the Disney Riviera character outfits are adorable!
Runner Up: Garden Grill
Our runner-up choice for character breakfasts is also Garden Grill. Our 3rd overall breakfast selection, Garden Grill not only has just a solid breakfast but having a chance to dine with Chip and Dale in addition to Mickey and Pluto is just flat-out awesome!

Best Brunch at Disney World
Brunch at Disney World is something that has picked up more and more steam in the past several years. It’s gotten popular, and the competition level has increased. And that’s a VERY VERY good thing for all of us.
Most of the brunch offerings are found only on the weekends, bar Olivia’s Cafe which has brunch now on every day of the week!
Picking a choice can be hard because we’ve found the brunches to be outstanding. Here are our two picks:
Winner: Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’
It can be extremely hard to get a brunch reservation at Homecomin’ as it’s a terrific meal offering original items that perfectly fit their Southern-Style Kitchen. While their offerings are on the richer side, they truly are fantastic, especially if you love fried chicken.
Runner Up: Raglan Road
We’ve been pleasantly surprised with Raglan Road as a brunch option. Not only do they have original Irish-style breakfast offerings, but they are shockingly tasty!
They have a massive brunch menu that allows you to easily find something that’s appealing. We’d recommend being adventurous here because some of the choices don’t sound good, but I assure you, they are!
Best Individual Breakfast Items You Need to Try
There are a number of individual breakfast items that you NEED to try on your next Disney World Vacation. While these are all on the sweeter side, we’re sure you will love them if you give them a try.
Here are our 5 picks for items that our readers love and OUR family too:
Tonga Toast – (Kona Cafe)
You can’t possibly tell me that a combination of sourdough-stuffed French Toast with bananas and cinnamon sugar sounds bad?! If it does, I guarantee you won’t be saying that after a bite of Tonga Toast.
You can get Tonga Toast at either sit-down options Kona Cafe at the Polynesian Village Resort or the Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom, but the cheapest option to get it is at Captain Cook’s, a quick-service location at the Polynesian on the ground floor.
Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich – (Sleepy Hollow Refreshments at Magic Kingdom)
One of our favorite breakfast items is the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich, located at Sleepy Hollow inside Magic Kingdom. This quick-service location is tucked away in a quiet area of Liberty Square and is full of sweet breakfast items.
Stuffed with fresh fruit and Nutella, it’s hard to go wrong with this! This is a shareable breakfast item that is universally loved practically by everyone.
Crepes – (La Crêperie de Paris or Crêpes À Emporter in EPCOT)
Visit either La Crêperie de Paris or Crêpes À Emporter at La Crêperie de Paris in the France Pavilion of EPCOT to try one of their several different crepe options.
La Crêperie de Paris is the table-service sit-down portion of the restaurant that requires a reservation whereas Crêpes À Emporter at La Crêperie de Paris is the take-out window in which you can get your crepe to go.
We highly recommend you get one of their both sweet and savory crepes and see which you prefer.
Liege Waffle – (Connections Cafe & Eatery)
The Liege Waffle, located inside the Connections Cafe in EPCOT is one of our favorite breakfast offerings in EPCOT. We’ve quietly fallen in love with this!
While it might not look like anything special, I assure you it is! It’s light and fluffy inside with a crunchy exterior and the perfect amount of sweetness.
Pongu Lumpia – (Pongu Pongu)
Located inside Pandora in Animal Kingdom, the Pongu Lumpia is a sweet pastry of sorts that’s stuffed with sweet pineapple and cream cheese and fried inside a spring roll. It might not sound like much, we LOVE this breakfast/dessert item.
Best Places for Coffee in Disney World
Getting decent coffee in Disney World used to be a challenging thing in years past. Guests would frequently complain about the lackluster offerings, that is, until 2012 and 2013. In 2013, Starbucks and Disney combined to open up their first full-service Starbucks location in Walt Disney World, replacing the former Main Street Bakery, as it was.
And while Starbucks locations are found in each of the parks plus in Disney Springs, Joffrey’s has actually been the official specialty coffee provider of Walt Disney World since 2012. Disney formed a long-term partnership with Joffrey’s, utilizing their coffee at Disney Restaurants, resort hotels, quick-service locations, and self-service options in hotel rooms.
And while Joffrey’s operated some different kiosks in the Disney Parks since 1995, it wasn’t until 2012 that they took on as big a role throughout the Disney World Resorts. Local Tampa-based Joffrey’s is a solid competitor for Starbucks and is actually found in far more locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.
It’s safe to say, the competition between these two competing companies has been a good thing for fans of coffee. Coffee has never been as good or as plentiful as it is these days. With that being said, where is the best place to get coffee in each of the parks?
Magic Kingdom
The best option for coffee in Magic Kingdom is the Main Street Bakery, which is the Starbucks location. While the line can get long, it’s both iconic and easy to get to!
We also really like the Joffrey’s Revive location in Tomorrowland near Space Mountain. You’ll find a number of tasty specialty drinks, plus some tasty sweet treats!
EPCOT
We highly recommend stopping at one of the five Joffrey’s locations throughout EPCOT. Our favorite locations are the ones around World Showcase, as they often have minimal waits and a number of fun specialty drinks.
If you want your Starbucks fix, visit Connections Cafe as this is the most popular pick in EPCOT, and it’s located in Future World towards the front of the park.
Hollywood Studios
There are a few Joffrey’s Kiosks in Hollywood Studios, and our favorite is the one located behind The Tower of Terror. We also love getting the Cold Brew Black Caf in Galaxy’s Edge, which is found at the Kat Saka’s Kettle quick-service spot.
The most popular option for coffee is to visit the Trolley Car Cafe, which is the full-service Starbucks location right on Hollywood Boulevard.
Animal Kingdom
Creature Comforts is an easy stop for guests going to Africa as they enter the park, as this is the full-service Starbucks location for Animal Kingdom. It can get packed though, so expect long waits.
As an alternative, you can visit one of the two Joffrey’s Kiosks in the Animal Kingdom. One is located outside the front entrance as you’re walking in, the other is located in Asia and it’s under the ‘Royal Anandapur Tea Company’ signage. It’s uniquely themed and perfectly blends in with the theming of Asia.
At the Resorts
All of the resorts will offer quick and hot Joffrey’s coffee selections in the various parts of the resort, but if you’re looking for our favorite resort coffee, you’ll need to visit the Riviera Resort.
Here you’ll find Le Petit Cafe, which is located on the lobby level of the resort. Their coffee is fantastic, in fact, it’s our favorite on Disney World Property. You’ll feel like you’re in a tiny little Parisian Cafe when coming here, and it’s well worth the hike it takes.
Disney Springs
Disney Springs has a full-service Joffrey’s location in the Landing area of Disney Springs, over by The BOATHOUSE Restaurant. They also have a kiosk over by the World of Disney Location, by the outdoor pavilion.
Starbucks also has two locations, on both sides of Disney Springs. One is located by the World of Disney location, and the other is on the West End of Disney Springs near Planet Hollywood and the AMC Dine-in Movie Theater.
Disney World Breakfast Hours
What time can you expect to find breakfast in the Disney World Parks and Resorts? In this section, we will touch on the hours you’ll likely find for most places open.
What Time is Breakfast Served at Disney World?
It depends. If you’re visiting the Disney Parks, normally you won’t be able to grab breakfast until the park opens or SLIGHTLY before the park opens if you can get an ADR. A safe rule of thumb would be about 8:30 am in the parks OR at the time of park opening.
At Disney World Resorts, they normally will open up some of the quick-service locations for coffee and pastries around 6:00 am or 6:30 am, but they fluctuate based on where. It’s worth asking about the quick-service location in your Disney World Resort.
Table-service restaurants at the Disney World Resorts normally begin taking reservations at 7:00 am, with theme park locations opening about an hour or so later.
Best Time to Eat Breakfast
The best time to eat breakfast is really a matter of personal preference. If getting up too early after a long day in the parks will make you detest your Disney World Vacation, it simply isn’t worth it.
But if you don’t mind getting up early or if you truly want to maximize your day, we’d recommend one of these two options:
- Early in the Morning Before Park Opening
If you’re able to either get an early morning ADR for a table-service restaurant or grab something quick in the morning before the park opens, you don’t have to worry about getting food during the first few hours of the park hours.
This is crucial since the first two hours of the park opening time is the BEST time to get on as many rides as possible until the end of the day.
Avoid eating for the first couple of hours after the park is open. (8-10 or 9-11) This allows you to maximize your first two hours by getting on as many rides as possible before taking a break when the crowds have already arrived in the park and wait times go up drastically around 10:30 am – 11:30 am.
- Little Later in the Morning During Park Rush
If you don’t want to get up as early and just want to get ready and head out the door going straight to the park for rope drop, your best option is to wait a little bit longer. I’d recommend NOT eating your first couple of hours so you can fully maximize the minimal wait times by doing as many attractions and rides as possible.
Then grab something to eat or book an ADR for breakfast at around 10:30 am or 10:45 am so you can be eating breakfast while the bulk of the crowds are getting in line for rides. This allows you to take a much-needed break without worrying about lines getting substantially longer while you’re eating.
Best Way to Save Big $$$ on Disney Resorts
If you want to potentially save thousands of dollars on your next trip to Disney World, I personally recommend David’s DVC Rentals. They consistently have the best prices and biggest selection of Disney Villas that will make you ask yourself: “How do they do it?”
Breakfast In the Parks vs. Resorts
When considering whether to grab breakfast in the parks or the resorts, there are a few things to keep in mind.
First, food at the resorts or at your hotel is going to be cheaper in most instances. You’ll get better value at your resort while also not having to worry about substantial lines or wasting time grabbing food when you could be getting in line for attractions.
You can also grab food earlier at your resort, as you’ll likely be able to pick up snacks or breakfast items between 6:30 am – 7:00 am in the morning. At your resort, you can also snag earlier ADRs if you want to sit at a table-service restaurant.
In theory, for the maximization of time and money, it’s almost always better to eat at the resorts for breakfast.
But that’s not the whole story…. Some of the best breakfasts on our Top 21 list are inside the parks and there are some truly stellar options for breakfast there. Some of the most iconic restaurants are inside the parks, and we understand that some families want to visit these restaurants even if it means they won’t be maximizing their time.
Something you MIGHT want to consider is having your sit-down breakfasts on busier park days, whether you want to eat inside or outside the parks. Then on slower days (midweeks), you can worry about getting on as many rides and attractions as you want without having a sit-down meal.
Following this strategy allows you to relax and enjoy your breakfast without going crazy about maximizing your day or worrying about missing out on attractions due to longer waits. Make your priority your breakfast, and you won’t worry as much about maximizing your every minute.
There’s no right or wrong answer here. Each family and travel group needs to figure out the best option for them!
Quick Breakfast vs. Sit Down
You also need to consider whether to do both a quicker breakfast or a sit-down table-service breakfast and this can be tricky. The main criteria to consider are time and money.
If maximizing your day is crucial to you, then a sit-down table-service restaurant is probably not ideal, as you’ll likely want to plan 90 – 120 minutes each time you do one.
If saving as much money as possible is important to you, you might want to also skip the table-service restaurant as they can get expensive, even for breakfast.
For our family, we often try to do 1 or 2 table-service breakfasts in the course of our vacation. And on those days, we will eat a lighter lunch and dinner, generally a quick-service location for the most savings.
The good news about breakfasts is that they still are the cheapest sit-down meals in Disney World on average, and if you’re going to do a table-service restaurant each day anyway, it might be worth considering doing one or two breakfasts on your vacation.
While quicker breakfasts in Disney can really be great if you follow our suggestions throughout this article, the truth is, you’ll likely have a better overall meal if you do a table-service restaurant. Plus it’s relaxing, adds a fun element for kids, and it offers a change of pace.
Eating Cheap Breakfasts at Disney World
Breakfasts in Walt Disney World do NOT need to be expensive. In fact, they can be incredibly reasonable if you know what you’re doing. Here are our top picks to eat cheap breakfasts in Disney World:
- Eat Kids Meals – A lot of guests don’t realize that you don’t need to order from the adult menu, you can get something from the kids menu. These meals are considerably cheaper!
- Order Food From a Service – With services readily available such as Uber Eats and DoorDash, you can easily order meals or groceries from outside of Disney World and pay standard food prices, instead of Disney’s Inflated Costs.
- Bring Starbucks Gift Cards – With each of the parks plus Disney Springs having Starbucks you can utilize your Starbucks Gift Cards here and grab your coffee and a quick bite to eat.
- Split Larger Meals – Even at some of the quick-service locations, some of the offerings are big! Such as the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich at Sleepy Hollow, this is easily a shareable breakfast! Even at Table-Service Restaurants, you can split entree items to cut the cost.
- Know ‘Where’ To Eat – Each of the parks has budget-friendly options that are both good and reasonably priced such as Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in the France Pavilion in EPCOT, where we frequently get breakfast for less than $7!

Bringing Your Own Breakfast to the Theme Parks
While we try to budget in a way that we don’t need to bring outside food since Disney Food is one of our favorite parts of our vacation, we see guests doing it all the time. And it’s a GREAT way to save money for guests as they visit the parks.
But what things do you need to know when bringing your own food?
There are some restrictions. For example, Disney states that whatever you bring might be brought for self-consumption and it cannot have a pungent odor. It also can’t require any kind of temperature control, including heating or refrigeration.
Disney allows snacks, beverages, and smaller coolers. They do NOT allow you to bring in alcohol, ice of any kind, or glass bottles.
With that out of the way, should you consider bringing your own breakfast to the parks? Here are the pros and cons of both:
PROS:
- It can save you considerable money.
- It allows you to bring your favorite snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic).
- If you have a fussier child, you can bring them the things they enjoy eating without wasting money on Disney food which they might waste.
- Comes in handy when you need a quick bolt of energy, such as when you’re in line.
- You can pack water which can be refreshing on a hot day, as opposed to buying bottled water from Disney and avoiding the Florida tap water taste you get with the free water.
- If you prefer a certain beverage or item that Disney doesn’t carry such as Pepsi, you can pack it.
CONS:
- It requires advanced preparation
- Another thing you’ll have to both carry and go through additional security screening for
- It prevents you from trying some of the tasty Disney food offerings
Packing your own food is certainly worth considering, especially when it comes to the element of saving money and dealing with fussier eaters. There are certainly some benefits to doing it occasionally, but I’d recommend doing it every day, if at all possible.
FAQs
Do Disney World Resorts Offer Free Breakfast?
No. Unfortunately, Disney World Resorts NEVER offer free breakfasts for guests staying inside the Disney Parks. They have in the past offered ‘Free Dining Plans’, which were an incentive to stay at a Disney Resort, but they are not offered now.
Is it Worth it to Eat Breakfast at Disney World?
It’s absolutely worth getting breakfast at Walt Disney World, even though there are still certain places I’d advise against eating at.
Every negative connotation of Disney food is often thought of (Plastic-looking eggs and bacon that’s been sitting out), but there are some truly stellar places to go, as I featured on my Top Breakfast Places list above.
Which Park Has the Best Breakfast?
The theme park with the best breakfast options is a toss-up between Disney’s Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, with a slight leaning towards EPCOT. While Magic Kingdom has more breakfast offerings, we find that EPCOT’s are better.
In addition to Garden Grill and the Les Halles Bakery that we love, they also have Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, the Connections Cafe Bakery, and La Crêperie de Paris which are all unique and good!
Where Can I Find Princess Breakfasts?
There are two main Princess Breakfasts right now. One is at EPCOT, and that’s the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. And the other is at Cinderella’s Royal Table inside Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kingdom.
At each restaurant the princesses rotate, but you’ll find an mix of Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mary Poppins, Snow White, and Tiana.
Making Breakfast Reservations at Disney World
Disney World Breakfasts can get VERY popular, especially at the character locations. Restaurants like Cinderella’s Royal Table, Chef Mickey’s, and Crystal Palace will sell out QUICKLY and it’s absolutely vital that you make ADRs (Advance Dining Reservations) at the 60-day mark to ensure you get to go to the places you really want to visit!
To do this, sign in to your My Disney Experience app or visit the Disney World site and sign in to your account. Make sure you know the 60-day mark prior to the start of your vacation, and you can begin making reservations normally at 5:45 am in the morning 60 days before the START of your trip.
It can be challenging and confusing to make dining reservations in Disney, and we thoroughly recommend that you visit our post here to ensure you get your restaurants.
Better yet, we’d wholeheartedly recommend you use an Authorized Disney Travel Agent to help you plan your Disney Vacation and make your ADRs. They make Disney planning a synch without having to worry about ADRs, Lightning Lanes, etc…
The best part of all is that they don’t charge you a dime! The one we recommend above the rest is Show You the World Travel. They are our pick and the one we’ve had BY FAR the best experience with. Their team of reputable and trusted agents will help you plan every step of your vacation.
Trust me, once you use one of their agents you won’t ever go back to planning another one by yourself!

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.

Well, I must say you certainly have rendered a huge choice regarding the top eating establishments at Disney World and it will be very difficult to finally decide which ones to choose. I will share these with my family so when we visit Disney we will peruse your entire list, then decide which ones, which will be difficult, we intend to eat at. Tks. again for your hard work and all the information you offer. I'm sure it takes quite an effort and lots of time on your part, but I assure you, all that you send is most helpful and useful and will always stay with us. I myself are sort of partial to those at Epcot, and have always enjoyed them for other meals. Tony
