Even though the holiday season is approaching in Walt Disney World, several Animal Kingdom attractions are getting reduced operating hours through the rest of 2018, closing before the park does:
The affected attractions are as follows:
- Kilimanjaro Safaris: closing at 7:45pm this week and 6:30pm in November
- Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail: 9:30am – 4:30pm
- Kali River Rapids: 9:30am – 7:30pm
- Maharajah Jungle Trek: 10:00am – 5:00pm
The reason for the attractions reducing their operating hours is unknown, but it’s strange to see so many close even before the park does, especially Kilimanjaro Safaris which they recently spent money on to bring the nighttime safari experience into the park. Most likely reasons for the reduced hours are for budget reasons, just weird timing seeing as we’re going into Walt Disney World’s busiest season.
