One look at your mobile device and you’ll see the My Disney Experience Mobile Food Order system update available for download today. We told you about the Mobile Food Order system a while back and basically it allows guests to place an order on their mobile device using the My Disney Experience app. They select and buy the food they want directly, select the hour to pick up, pay for it, and then they are alerted to come pick it up when it’s ready. It has the potential to be a big time saver when in the parks.
Let’s look at it. Here in your App Store you can see it available to download:
Once it downloads and you open the My Disney Experience App you’ll see a mini-tutorial telling you about the changes:
Once in the app you’ll see it indicated on the lower right icon of the home page:
When you click the button it will show the available restaurants in Walt Disney World where you can use the Mobile Food Order system. As of right now the only one available is the Satu’li Canteen in Pandora: The World of Avatar:
Click on the icon and it opens you up to the Satu’li Canteen
From there you click Order Food and you will find the whole menu to choose from:
Add your items to your checkout basket and pay. Select your pickup time, then when your food is ready you’ll be notified!
As of now unless you’re participating in one of the Pandora Passholder Events then you’ll have to wait till May 27th to use this new service. Also Satu’li Canteen is just the first restaurant to use this new system for ordering your food, but if it works well expect it to slowly become available in many quick service restaurants around the parks.
