2 More Off-site Hotels Offering FastPass+ and Extra Magic Hours Privileges

Disney has announced that two more Disney World area hotels are now offering extended FastPass+ reservations and Extra Magic Hours to their guests, giving them the same privileges as Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

The latest additions are the 1000-room Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek hotel, and the 500-room Waldorf Astoria Orlando.

Back over a year ago now Disney started allowing off-site Disney World hotels to have these special privileges starting with 7 Disney Springs-area hotels and the response from the guests there has been positive. Back in September that contract was renewed through 2019, and now these new ones are joining the mix.

Guests staying at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek hotel or the Waldorf Astoria Orlando will have vouchers issued to them giving them access to the Extra Magic Hours along with their regular theme park admission tickets. In addition they will have a FastPass+ booking window of 60 days just like every Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

The Extra Magic Hours access goes into effect immediately, while the FastPass+ will start in the next couple months.

Many regular Disney World hotel goers have been complaining since the beginning about this relationship, that no longer feels so special to them. While I understand that sentiment, maybe try and think about it as an opportunity to stay at two amazing hotels for a pretty decent price, and still get most of the benefits as staying on-site. It could be a good thing to take advantage of…

Your Thoughts:

I want to know what you think about non-Disney hotels having the same perks as the on-site ones…

  • Do you think it’s a good idea?
  • Could the WDW offer something even better instead?
