New Scene Coming to Mickey’s PhilharMagic from Pixar’s Coco

A new scene from Disney and Pixar’s “Coco” is coming to Mickey’s PhilharMagic attraction at 3 Disney theme parks worldwide.

The new “Un Poco Loco” scene from Coco is being added to Mickey’s PhilharMagic at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park on November 12, 2021.

The same scene has already been added to Mickey’s PhilharMagic at Disney California Adventure and Disneyland Paris on July 17, 2021.

The Magic Kingdom version of Mickey’s PhilharMagic is closing temporarily on October 11 and will be closed for a month to make way for the new scene. Another reason for the closure is that Disney is installing a new digital projection system in the attraction which will make it even more spectacular to see.

The timing of the new addition is just in time as the Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration gets underway about one month earlier.

Fans of the hit animated film will immediately appreciate the musical number “Un Poco Loco” anchoring the new scene when it debuts.

The characters from “Coco” are featured along with Donald Duck in what promises to bring lots of humor and laughs to the attraction.

This is the first time that animators from both Disney and Pixar have worked on a project together where characters from both studios shared the screen together. From the images, Disney released it looks absolutely stunning, and I’m sure the upbeat music is going to also help to make it funny.

In fact, Disney recognized how important music is to the show and is bringing back one of the original composers from the film. The world-renowned Germaine Franco will produce a “Coco” score unique to “Mickey’s PhilharMagic” and we can’t wait to hear it!

Thankfully, for now, no old scenes are being removed from Mickey’s PhilharMagic to make room for the new one.

We’ll keep you updated for more details about this addition as well as the official opening date at Walt Disney World.

Just watched Coco for the first time when they made the announcement, and I have to say, this is absolutely the right move. Un Poco Loco I’m going to fit in perfectly.

Plus, they really need to redo the Mexico pavilion. Wow would that make the river of time impressive.
