It hasn’t even been a year yet but we now have word of the Disney World Express Transportation ending, with the last day of service Wednesday, August 23, and last day to purchase it, Wednesday, August 16.
The Disney World Express Transportation was an experimental form of bus transportation for guests to get to and from the parks. It offered more convenience as the buses would drop off guests at backstage areas of the parks, allowing guests to skip the security lines altogether. However the Express Transportation wasn’t free and guests had to pay between $15-$24 per person depending on the package chosen.
It’s not a bad idea as an add-on transportation, the thing is now it’s just got lost in the shuffle a bit with most guests preferring other forms, including the new Minnie Vans! Minnie vans are also more comfortable and convenient than standard buses, but there is no skipping security like Express Transportation did.
It was fun while it lasted!
