Disney World Annual Passholder Blackout Dates Changed for August

Annual Passholder Blackout Dates ChangedEver since it was announced that The Great Movie Ride and Universe of Energy are closing August 13th, people have been lining up in flocks to ride them one last time.  Only problem was for Florida residents who have a Silver Annual Pass or a Disney Weekday Select, giving them blackout dates during the month of August.  Disney was kind enough to have the Annual Passholder Blackout Dates changed and now both Silver and Weekday Select pass levels will be able to enter all parks starting on August 1st.

And the blackout dates weren’t removed only for a few days, but the entire month of August!  Again this was a problem only for Silver and Weekday Select passholders as the Gold, Platinum, and Platinum Plus didn’t have any blackout restrictions for those date anyway.

Who says Disney doesn’t care about it’s Annual Passholders?  This is a great move by Disney and is sure to have made a lot of people happy!  So use this opportunity and get down there in August to enjoy The Great Movie Ride and Universe of Energy one last time! 🙂

I guess this is old. The post says updated april 12 2019 but it seems like all of your posts are showing that. I guess some sort of glitch happened.

Anyway, I hope they do this again and maybe into July! Fingers crossed!
