I’m sure you’ve seen the Disney Skyliner Gondolas traveling back and forth around Walt Disney World and you may have noticed all the different characters decorating the outside of them.
We’re really looking forward to the Disney Skyliner anyway, and all the specially themed gondolas are one of the coolest aspects about this new transportation system. You can ride around with some of your favorite characters from Disney films.
In this post we’re going to take a look at all of these character-themed gondolas and help you see just what options are available for you to ride in when you go onboard the Disney Skyliner. We also have pictures of them all!
Look at how amazing these graphics are on the gondolas:
For sure the Star Wars one is my favorite!!

We’ve been following the Disney Skyliner project since it was announced at the D23 Expo back in 2017, and following every step along the way so far as they’ve been constructed over the past year. That’s why to see the dream realized and have these amazing new gondolas running is so incredible!
Here is a video that Disney put out showing some more of the Skyliner gondolas in action:
If you aren’t familiar with the Disney Skyliner, it’s a brand new transportation system coming to various points in Walt Disney World which will connects guests at those resorts to reach the parks quickly, easily and with a great view.
Think the old Skyway that used to be in Disney’s Magic Kingdom but as a full-blown transportation system and not just an attraction.
Initially the Disney Skyliner will run from Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios and connect guests staying at Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. However look for future expansion to other areas of Walt Disney World if the initial phase goes well.
It’s a really fast and convenient way to get around property and from first tests it seems much faster than the bus system, which can be an especially long wait at some of those hotels. It’s should improve travels times to and from the parks drastically.
Be sure to read more about the Disney Skyliner including the state of the art ventilation system, and and the estimated Skyliner arrival times, map and expansion to and from each Skyliner station.
The Disney Skyliner has been running cast member tests for weeks and opens September 29, 2019. Make sure to check out all our coverage including:

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
