Disney Cruise Frozen Celebration Coming This Summer

Disney Cruise Frozen CelebrationAccording to the Disney Parks Blog, there is some great stuff in store for Frozen fans as there’s a Disney Cruise Frozen Celebration coming.  On selected sailings in May, June and July on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder there will be a Frozen Day where the ships will transform into a “Winter in Summer” celebration and characters from the hit film Frozen will come to life in Stage Shows, Deck Parties and Character Meet and Greets.  If you’ve experienced a Disney Cruise before it will be like the great Pirates night they do which is a blast!

It’s going to be beautiful to see the whole ship transform before your eyes.  Even the atrium will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland with sparkling icicles covering the grand staircase.  Some of the activities include:

Character Meet and Greets and Activities:  Already year round you can meet some of the characters from Frozen such as Anna, Elsa, and Olaf, but now there will be additional opportunities to meet and take photos with them as well as special “Frozen Adventures” for the kids in the Oceaneer Club.  For adventurous children there will be a scavenger hunt: “Anna’s Chocolate Chase” as well as an opportunity to make snow and ice with Elsa in “Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?”

Frozen Deck Party:  “Freezing the Night Away with Anna, Elsa and Friends,” will be an extravagant deck party featuring the famous royal sisters of Arendelle and their fun-loving Nordic companions.  The Pirates one is awesome so I want to see what they do here…

You can even get ready for the deck party by learning a traditional Scandinavian dance with “Oaken’s Maypole Swirl and Twirl.”

Adventures Ashore:  One of the cool things to do is if you’re aboard select sailings on the Disney Magic to Norway, you can visit the land that inspired Arendelle from “Frozen,” with exciting Port Adventures.  For Frozen fans this will really make the movie come to life as in Ålesund, Norway, you will be immersed in the spirit of Norway, with the help of Anna and Elsa, in this enchanting storybook village.

Frozen themed Dining:  There will be a Nordic-style menu at dinner so you can try some dishes that were inspired by the film.  The restaurants and waiters I’m sure will dress the part as well.  Also in the nightclubs there will be specific Frozen cocktails for you to drink while enjoying the evening.

Frozen Stage Show:  Probably the best part of the whole Frozen celebration will be the stage show.  Disney puts on some really awesome stage shows on their ships and I would have to imagine this might top them all.
