One of the coolest looking attractions Disney is currently working on is coming to Hong Kong Disneyland later this month, and Disney has just revealed the ride vehicle and EMP blasters you’ll be using in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle! This will be one of the signature attractions in new new Marvel Super Heroes Land coming to Hong Kong Disneyland.
We recently got a behind the scenes look at this incredible new attraction with some videos showing the details and story behind Ant-Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle. It’s similar to the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin rides, but taken to the next level.
You’ll be going both Ant-Man and the Wasp as they try to stop a Hyrda from an attack on a SHIELD center at the Stark Expo. Shrink down to nano-size and go inside the servers to stop Hyrda and the Swarm Bots as they try to steal critical information from the SHIELD servers before it gets into the wrong hands.
Now Disney has shared with us what the ride vehicles and blasters you’ll be using to carry out that mission are going to look like.
This is the Defense Assault Ground Rover or DAGR which is a special personnel vehicle developed at the SHIELD Science and Technology Pavilion located at Hong Kong Disneyland.
As you can see the size and shape are very similar to Buzz Lightyear, but they’ve been supped up and redesigned by SHIELD.
During the attack on the SHIELD servers, you’re going to need something to fend off the thousands of swarm bots heading your way. Luckily you’ll have a SHIELD-issued EMP Blaster attached to your vehicle that should do the trick!
To help Ant-Man and the Wasp, guests will board the Defense Assault Ground Rover (DAGR). The DAGR is a special personnel vehicle developed at the SHIELD Science and Technology Pavilion located at Hong Kong Disneyland.
Right now plans for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle are only in Hong Kong Disneyland, but with Marvel Super Heroes Lands planned for both Disneyland Paris and Disney California Adventure it’s very likely we’ll be seeing this attraction pop up in other Disney Parks around the world too.
