Because of the additional traffic expected to turn out in the Magic Kingdom next week, Disney is creating additional Wishes viewing areas around Cinderella Castle for the final performances, and also for the first couple performances of its replacement: Happily Ever After.
The additional viewing area will be located in the cast member parking lot behind Tomorrowland, next to the Main Street bypass. If that area becomes too crowded then it’s possible another backstage area could be used for guests between the Main Street bypass and Adventureland.
The dates for the extra areas will be May 6th and 11th for the final performance of Wishes, and May 12 and 13th for the first performances of Happily Ever After.
We are all sad to see Wishes go as it’s the end of a Disney Era, but I’m really excited to see some of the new technology and music that will make up Happily Ever After! From what I’ve seen and heard so far it doesn’t look like we have much to be worried about!
