Just a few days ago we learned about closures in Disney’s Magic Kingdom due to refurbishments at both the Tomorrowland Speedway and Peter Pan’s Flight. Now we want to tell you that Tom Sawyer Island in Frontierland is also closing for refurbishment later this month in October.
Tom Sawyer Island will be down for about 2 months from October 14th – December 21st, just in time for the big Christmas week crowds. It’s not known what exactly Disney is working on there but probably just some regular maintenance stuff. Basically this whole part of Magic Kingdom is down right now as the Liberty Square Riverboats also won’t be back up and running till December. We’ll keep you posted if we hear anything else…
