Talking Mickey Mouse is now silent in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. As we reported a few months back, yesterday was the final day for the talking Mickey Mouse in the Town Square Meet and Greet to do just that, talk. We now have the normal silent version of Mickey Mouse at that location, just like all the other locations in Walt Disney World.
There are many reasons for this change, though Disney hasn’t officially commented on it. Some reasons are technical difficulties and guest confusion, and like everything, budget concerns are also a reason. We’re not sure if this move is forever or if sometime in the future talking Mickey Mouse will return to either this meet and greet or different ones in Walt Disney World. We’ll let you know if anything changes, but for now this is how it is.
Which Mickey Mouse you prefer? Talking or Silent, and why?
