Satu’li Canteen Full Menu in Pandora The World of Avatar

Satu'li Canteen Full MenuDisney has released the Full Menu for the primary Dining location in Pandora: The World of Avatar, the Satu’li Canteen.  Disney is taking a different approach to dining on Pandora and you won’t find the normal Burgers, Hot Dogs and Pizza while visiting the far away planet.  Instead the food is focused on more healthy options and stuff you wouldn’t normally find in a theme park.

For Entrees there are 2 Main Options: Made-to-order Bowls and Pods.  Huh?  Yeah I thought that too when I first saw them.  So what are they exactly?

The Made-to-order Bowls consist of a Base(a Vegetable or Grain) a Protein (Chicken, Beef, Tofu or Fish) and a Sauce (Chimichurri, Black Bean Vinaigrette or Creamy Herb Dressing).  Apparently they haven’t yet discovered plates on Pandora so they kinda throw all that stuff together in a big bowl.  The fish one is what you see in the above photo.  The prices range from $11.49 – 12.99 are are as follows:

Chopped Wood-Grilled Chicken Bowl

Wood-Grilled Chicken Thighs marinated with Garlic and Olive Oil topped with Crunchy Vegetable Slaw and Boba Balls served with your choice of Base and Sauce
$11.49

Slow-Roasted Sliced Grilled Beef Bowl

Slow-Roasted Sliced Grilled Beef marinated in a blend of Garlic, Herbs, Red Pepper Spice, and Red Wine Vinegar topped with Crunchy Vegetable Slaw and Boba Balls served with your choice of Base and Sauce
$12.99

Sustainable Fish Bowl

Panko Breaded Mahi-Mahi topped with Crunchy Vegetable Slaw and Boba Balls served with your choice of Base and Sauce
$12.99

Chili-Spiced Crispy Fried Tofu Bowl

Crispy Fried Tofu seasoned with Chili-Spice topped with Crunchy Vegetable Slaw and Boba Balls served with your choice of Base and Sauce

Next up are the Steamed Pods.  Yes it’s going to get even stranger now so bare with me here.  These things are basically steamed Bao Buns that are stuffed with either Cheeseburger or Vegetable Curry.  If you’ve ever had the Bao Buns from Morimoto Asia or the Beijing Roasted Duck at the China Pavilion during Food and Wine, then you’ll recognize the consistency of these buns.  Personally I love them so I’m excited to see the Pandora version!  Here are the two options:

Cheeseburger Steamed Pod

Steamed Cheeseburger Pod stuffed with Ground Beef, Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle, and Cheddar Cheese served with Crunchy Vegetable Slaw and Vegetable Chips
$10.99

Vegetable Steamed Curry Pod

Steamed Vegetable Curry Pod with Eggplant, Cauliflower, Sweet Potato, Carrots, and Shallot Cilantro Cream served with Crunchy Vegetable Slaw and Vegetable Chips $10.99

The Children’s Menu has the same Bowls or Pods (just in a smaller version), plus a Cheese Quesadilla or a Hot Dog.
Whatever you do don’t forget to order dessert, including the Na’vi Cheesecake – Blueberry Cheesecake topped with Passion Fruit Curd

The Satu’li Canteen will also be a revolutionary step forward for food in Disney parks because it will introduce a new Mobile Ordering System where you can order your food through the My Disney Experience App BEFORE you get to the Satu’li Canteen, having it ready when you arrive and therefore bypassing the long lines.  You simply tap a button in the app telling them you are ready for your food and they will notify you when it’s ready.  This will allow you to spend more time in Pandora exploring instead of waiting in line (which I’m anticipating you will doing a lot of to ride Flight of Passage and the Na’vi River Journey).

Even though the items are a bit strange at first glance, I like the fact they are different from regular theme park fare and I can’t wait to try them out this Summer when Pandora: The World of Avatar opens May 27th.
