Flights of Wonder Disney’s Animal Kingdom Closing in 2017

Flights of Wonder Closing RumorUPDATE 11/20/17: Flights of Wonder is indeed closing December 31st, and a new Show based on the Pixar film “UP” will be taking it’s place sometime in 2018.

ORIGINAL STORY: According to the Inside Universal Forums, Flights of Wonder, a show featuring magnificent birds in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is closing in 2017.  This comes as a surprise as there hasn’t been any word about this before, yet it could be closed by the end of the year, rumor is the last show will be on December 31st, 2017.

Flights of Wonder is an underrated show in the Animal Kingdom imo, which often gets skipped over for the more popular attractions like Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris and Pandora: The World of Avatar.  However it’s a really cool show where a trainer shows the incredible behaviors and talents of these magnificent beasts.  It’s a shame more people don’t go out to see it because it really is worth it!

Rumor is that a  new show is set to come and replace Flights of Wonder in April 2018.  This new show will still use the Flights of Wonder venue and birdsthough no other exact info is known yet about what the replacement could be.

I have to admit I am one of those people who give this one a miss these days. There is just too much in this park now. Everest if it wasn't for single rider would be another. It is a nice show but I guess others like myself no longer have time for it.

I don't always watch it either but it still holds a special place for me. What would you like to see in its place?
