Pirates of the Caribbean Changing the Redhead Scene in March 2018

Pirates of the Caribbean changing redhead scene march 2018As we reported back in June, to much public discord, the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in Disney’s Magic Kingdom is getting rid of the The famous “Redhead Auction Scene” and making it more politically correct.  Now today we know that Pirates of the Caribbean is closing on February 26 through to March 18, reopening to guests on March 19 2018 to change out the scene

Like the version that’s already been changed in Disneyland Paris, now instead of the Redhead Auction Scene, there will be an auction of loot the pirates are stealing from the town.  This news had the Disney community divided over the Summer with some upset by the changes saying Pirates has become too watered down.  The other half of fans finds the scene offensive and is happy for the change.

No matter what side of the argument you are on, if you want to see the Redhead Auction Scene one last time, get there before March 2018!

Hate the change. We will be at WDW first week of March and had seen where Pirates would be closed during that time - I can’t believe that THIS is the reason why!
