This weekend Pandora The World of Avatar officially opened its gates and to celebrate this historic event Disney has release some commemorative Pandora The World of Avatar merchandise. These products are being sold at the Windtraders shop in Pandora, and some items being sold also at Discovery Trading Company in Discovery Island.
“We love commemorating official openings with unique products that capture a moment in time,” exclaimed Cathy Dawson, event merchandise product developer with Disney Parks. “For an epic new land like Pandora – The World of Avatar, we wanted our guests to remember their visit for the grand opening on May 27. They will find t-shirts for adults and kids, a water bottle, and a hat. Each of these items include the opening date, and feature artwork originally created by Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media Creative Group. It is such an exciting time to celebrate!”
Great news for Disney Pin collectors is a new 5-Pin limited edition boxed set and a limited edition opening day pin.
The five-pin set features beautiful travel posters from Alpha Centauri Expeditions, the exclusive provider of tours to Pandora. Dylan Cole, Co-Production Designer for the upcoming “Avatar” motion picture sequels, created the artwork for this limited edition set of 250. There’s also a limited edition Night Pin which numbers 5,000.
I also told you a couple days ago about the 3 Limited Edition MagicBands: Purple 2,000 copies, the Teal one for Annual Passholders up to 2,000, and a Blue Avatar-skin one.
You can find some of the Pandora World of Avatar merchandise on DisneyStore.com also.
There are 3 commemorative t-shirts being sold online from May 24th to June 7th which you will also find at the Animal Kingdom for the opening.

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
