Disney has just released new concept art for the 15-Story Coronado Springs Resort Tower and it gives us a great view of what it will look like when finished. The Coronado Springs Tower is set to open at the Walt Disney World Resort next Summer, as well as the renovation taking place to the rest of the resort and it all looks breathtaking…
The whole Coronado Springs Resort is getting an upgrade and when it’s finished it will add 545 more guest rooms and 50 suites to its inventory. This new tower is going to be the crown jewel of the whole project and you can see why.
When guests walk into the Coronado Springs Resort Tower, there will be a huge 2-story lobby which looks absolutely stunning. I personally love when a hotel lobby is tall, my favorite ones on property are Grand Floridian, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge. This won’t be quite as big as those but at least there is some room to breathe and a nice balcony running along the inside of the lobby you can see down from.
Besides the new Tower, the rest of the Coronado Springs Resort is getting upgraded too with all 1,800 rooms being renovated with new furnishings, fixtures and lighting. I imagine they will be taking a more technological approach like some of the other recently remodeled Walt Disney World Resort hotels that now are full of USB chargers and better high-speed Wi-Fi access.
The Coronado Springs Resort is getting 2 new restaurants. The first one is a table service restaurant going in the new tower, up on the very top (California Grill-style). This will have amazing views of the Walt Disney World Resort, and views of both the Hollywood Studios and Epcot fireworks shows. The other new restaurant, is also table service, but will be located right down on Lago Dorado, which will have awesome ambiance and great waterfront views. I can’t decide which one I’m more excited for and looks like a visit will be paid to both next year…?
