New Character Signs Added to Hollywood Studios Parking Lot

The parking lot in Disney’s Hollywood Studios just got a lot more interesting and a lot cuter as new character signs with pictures of some of your favorites were added today!

Hollywood Studios has been a construction zone for a couple of years now and we are finally starting to see the light at the end oof the tunnel. Disney has been working hard on improving guest flow in and out of the Studios and so upgrades to the parking lot is a welcome change.

Look for signs with your favorite characters on them (though there are some strange choices too) including: Mickey, Minnie, Jessie, Buzz, Olaf, Itchy and BB-8. These signs help divide the parking lot into sections, making it easier for guests to know where they are parked.

Let’s have a look at some of them. Here are Buzz and Mickey!

Not only were the parking signs added but the two new bus loops were also added, just steps away from the main entrance, which will make it a much more pleasant walk in and out of the park instead of the half-marathon you had to do before.

The parking lot enhancements are an extension of the big entrance change into Hollywood Studios from the Osceola Parkway. Things aren’t done yet as construction continues for refreshed parking tram lanes and walkways, additional security screening areas and of course work on the station for the upcoming Disney Skyliner which will drop guests right at the entrance to the park.

All of these improvements were crucial to get done at the Studios in light of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge which is opening up later this Summer. Since there will be record crowds in the park at that time, Disney is trying to make sure the transportation systems are running 100% with as many improvements as possible before then.

Nice touch. Parking lots need something fresh. Easier to remember Mickey 102 rather than Section D-13 - space 1167E. No one forgets where their car is in a lot named Mickey!!! :)
