Let’s just say that when Walt chose the Florida property to build his vacation kingdom, he certainly didn’t expect weather like this but every once and a while Mother Nature hits here too, although at least this isn’t as bad as Hurricane Irma. Because of the record low temperatures throughout the USA, there will be more closures in Walt Disney World as well.
Yesterday all the pools in Walt Disney World were closed and here are some more upcoming closures:
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon: Closed through Saturday January 6th; then January 7th – March 17th for refurbishment.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach: Currently Closed for refurbishment and should reopen January 7th with the weather warming up a bit.
Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show: Cancelled due to weather: Tuesday, January 2nd – Friday January 5th the 5:15pm and 8:15 shows; also Saturday January 6th 8:15pm show.
You can get your payment back if you booked one of these cancelled shows. Please call (407) WDW-DINE for assistance or speak with the concierge at your Walt Disney World Resort

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
