Moana Coming to Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa

Moana Coming to Disney's Aulani Resort

A couple of weeks ago we told you that Disney’s latest princess from the new smash hit “Moana” would be coming to Disney Parks and Resorts.  Well now we have some more information and we’re happy to report Moana Coming to Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa.  There will be new experiences where guests can witness the spirit of Hawaii with fun-filled activities, enchanting storytelling, a special makeover, character greeting moments and more!

“Moana” is the story of an adventurous teenage girl who teams up with the demigod Maui on a daring mission to fulfill her ancestors’ unfinished quest as she sails among the islands of Oceania to save her people.

Some of the special experiences include:

Meet Moana
Guests will be able to meet Moana, the adventurous teenage girl exploring her latest destination: Aulani Resort! Check the Daily ‘Iwa for meeting times and locations.

Mo‘olelo Fireside Stories with Moana
This sounds like a cool experience where you can gather around the Oceanside fire pit as Moana and Aulani’s loveable storyteller “Uncle” bring legends of Oceania to life.  You will be amazed as Moana recounts her own tales of way finding!Moana Coming to Disney's Aulani

Uncle’s Kahakai Canoe Race
This is an interactive event where first you listen to Moana and Uncle as they swap seafaring tales and share the importance of the canoe—or wa‘a—to the ancestors of Native Hawaiians.  Then, you get to unleash the explorer within and build a wa’a model and participate in a fun and spirited canoe race at the lagoon.

Moana Makeover
This one is for your little princesses.  Similar to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in WDW, you can discover your inner adventurer with a Moana-inspired makeover in Painted Sky!  This includes a themed costume, styled hair, manicure, pedicure and makeup.

This seems like just the beginning as Moana is a smash success at the Box Office and Disney is sure to bring Moana to Walt Disney World too in the near future, I would guess at the Polynesian Resort would make a lot of sense!

If you enjoyed this article, as always I appreciate it if you’d share it with others via social media.  I work hard at making this website into a useful resource for you and your family to plan your visit to Walt Disney World, and I hope it can help you! Thanks 🙂
