Last night was a historic moment as we saw the end of an era as we said goodbye to Illuminations: Reflections of Earth in Epcot in its final show.
In this post we have a video of the final performance and some of my favorite photographs I was able to take of Illuminations.
Illuminations: Reflections of Earth had its first show on September 22, 2019 as part of Disney World’s 15-month celebration of the Millennium and was originally called: IllumiNations 2000: Reflections of Earth.
The show was unlike any other previous Epcot fireworks shows and debuted using 30 percent more fireworks than ever before.
Here of some of my favorite shots of Illuminations: Reflections of Earth:

I personally will really miss Illuminations as we spent countless evenings around World Showcase lagoon watching it and it will remain my favorite Disney fireworks show of all-time. Right now I have my top 3 ranked as:
- Illuminations
- Happily Ever After
- Wishes
Its legacy will continue in our minds and hearts, and thankfully the thousands of digital recordings you can find online. When I’m feeling nostalgic I’m sure I’ll pull up YouTube to watch one of the incredible performances.
Just as the company founder Walt Disney always pushed progress and innovation, so we say goodbye to Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. “We go on…”

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.

Really enjoyed watching the last show. Could not be there so thank you for bringing it to me and other viewers. Definitely the best in my book. Looking forward to the new one and see how it is. I'm sure we will all like it too. Good Job.
