Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster Announced for Epcot

Guardians of the Galaxy CoasterAfter more than a year of speculation we finally got word of a Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster coming to Epcot replacing the Universe of Energy.  It looks like it will adhere to the original vision of Future World being themed toward space travel.  This new E-Ticket attraction will be based on the world of Guardians of the Galaxy and will replace the current Universe of Energy attraction, which is closing August 13, 2017.

This was one of 2 new coaster officially confirmed (Tron Coaster in Magic Kingdom as well) and the Captain America one was hinted at in Disneyland California Adventure.  The Guardians of the Galaxy coaster is the first phase of a renovation in Epcot, and the second attraction with the new Ratatouille attraction coming to the France Pavilion in Epcot.  According to Disney the Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster will be open in time for the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World in 2021.  Stay tuned for more…
