Just a couple days ago we got confirmation that the Guardians of the Galaxy Ride in Epcot is for sure going to be a Rollercoaster. Now we got some exciting news from WDWMagic.com where we can see the Universe of Energy building has been walled off already. We know that the Guardians of the Galaxy attraction in Epcot is going to use the old Universe of Energy pavilion building as its ride queue, which will then lead to another show building where guests will board the attraction. How much of the Universe of Energy building will remain though is still unknown.
These Guardians of the Galaxy construction walls however don’t necessarily mean that you will see major progress on the attraction anytime soon though. Yes there has been a lot of work done clearing the land behind where the launch tunnel and show buildings will go, but the attraction has an expected opening date of Spring 2021, so it’s gonna be a while. In the Utilidors there is a display that also says 2021 for the opening date, so that really does look like the date.
It will be fun to follow the progress of the construction over the next few years so stay tuned for more updates…

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
