Guardians of the Galaxy Mission BREAKOUT! Attraction Interior

Mission BREAKOUT! queue robotYesterday we introduced you to The Collector, the owner of the new Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT! attraction in Disneyland California Adventure.  Now Disney has released some photos of the amazing Mission BREAKOUT! queue, and it looks fantastic.

The basic premise is that our heroes from Guardians of the Galaxy have all been captured by The Collector, and it’s your job to break them out.

There are all sorts of relics from the Marvel Universe throughout the attractions:

If you’re not familiar with the Marvel Universe then you likely won’t recognize some of the Easter Eggs they’ve put in there, but either way it’s beautiful to look at!

Make sure to check out Cosmo the Space Dog who is actually an animatronic:

Finally you make it to the briefing room with Rocket Raccoon gives you the low-down on how you are going to break his friends out:

Rocket is another one of Disney’s amazing animatronics.

It looks basically like the same thrills from the Tower of Terror ride before.  Don’t worry, that 6 drop sequence is still there to scare you half to death!

So after seeing a walkthrough of the attraction it looks pretty solid to me.  I know there are a lot of upset people for losing Tower of Terror, but honestly it’s refreshing to see the new overlay.  It looks to me like everything was handled with great detail and they did a great job making you feel like you are in the Guardians universe.  I’ll hold final judgement till I ride it for myself, but first look is positive.  You can still always catch Tower of Terror in Hollywood Studios!

What about you?
