Although not yet confirmed by Disney, it looks like they will be introducing a brand new Frozen Ever After Dessert Party to Epcot. This will be a chance for guests to enjoy a great viewing of the Epcot Illuminations Fireworks Show without fighting for a spot, and after once it’s done and the park is closed, they will be able to take a ride on the Frozen Ever After attraction without waiting in line.
The Frozen Ever After Dessert Party will be replacing the Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party, and will be similar to its predecessor. It will be located in the front of World Showcase, in the designated viewing area for Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. The party will of course have a Frozen theme, so you can expect a heavy presence of our lovable Norwegian characters, as well as desserts and alcoholic drinks themed to Frozen.
The cost of the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party will be $79 per adult and $47 per child, and will take place on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays each week. While we don’t yet have an exact starting date and Disney has not confirmed anything, if you go online to disneyworld.com, you will find that the last scheduled Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party is on July 14th, a Friday. Perhaps the new Frozen Ever After Dessert party could make its debut 2 days later that Sunday the 16th? We’ll have to wait and see.
I know a lot of people are upset about this, saying Epcot is being taken over by the characters, and it ruining the pure theme of World Showcase. While I tend to be a traditionalist and would like to see World Showcase preserved somewhat, I don’t have a big problem with this as it’s just an extra event. If people want a dessert party with Olaf, let them have it, the rest of the guests won’t even be a part of it. Plus I like the idea of getting a ride on Frozen Ever After without the wait, which is regularly over an hour.
I’m not sure if dessert and a ride on Frozen will be worth the $79 bucks, that will have to be determined once we see what’s included!
If you are interested in the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party, then once Disney makes reservations available I suggest you book right away because if it’s anywhere as popular as the attraction it will sell out right away!

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
