Better get those rides in soon because the Disney World Friendship Boats are closing for refurbishment in May. If you aren’t familiar with the Friendship Boats, they are the free transportation service between Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and the surrounding Walt Disney World Resorts including: Swan and Dolphin, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts and Disney Boardwalk Inn.
The Friendship Boats will close on May 7, 2018 for refurbishment while work is done on the bridge located at the Swan and Dolphin Hotel. The pedestrian path over the bridge will remain open, but he waterway will be closed, meaning you’ll have 1 of 2 options: 1. Walk to Epcot or Hollywood Studios or 2. Take one of the Disney Buses which will remain in service.
UPDATE: The Friendship Boats will be down until May 26. We also have some photos of the construction work on the Friendship Boats Dock and the Bridge leading to the Swan and Dolphin Resorts.

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
