The Disney Skyliner is opening up at the end of September, but Disney is giving a first look at the costumes for the Skyliner in a new video clip they just released. There you can see how they came up with the design and the materials they are using to make them.

First off in the video you can see the artists and designers working on the concept art for the Skyliner costumes:

There are 2 colors available for the costumes, blue for women and orange for men:

You might have noticed that the distinct style with the bold white stripes going through the middle of the outfits are inspired by the stripes on the Skyliner gondola cabins:

Another feature of the costumes for the cast members is the lightweight fabric which will keep them cool in the Florida sun:

Each costume has built-in ventilation in the back and sides:

The idea from the designers was to keep the whole thing as streamlined and modern as possible, even the slick Skyliner writing on the sleeves:

The outfits close with hidden buttons running down the front:

And an epaulette on the shoulder which cast members can use to hang their walkie-talkies from:

There also isn’t a big collar which keeps the outfit as cool as possible.

It will be great to see the cast members out in their new costumes when the Skyliner opens September 29!

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
