Is the 2020 Disney Dining Plan Worth It?
That’s a loaded question and not one that can be easily answered unfortunately. That’s going to depend on your family’s eating habits.
First thing that jumps out to me is that we see price increases across the board with both adults and kids costing higher per night on the Dining Plan. It was nice last year when only the kid’s prices went up and the adults stayed the same, but unfortunately that’s not the case again this year in 2020.
Not too many other significant changes were made for the 2020 Dining Plan and besides the price increase, no new features or changes were made to the plan itself. All three levels are still there and pretty much unchanged.
I’m always of the idea that the dining plan is a better bargain for adults than kids. As you know Disney introduced alcohol to the Regular and Deluxe Disney Dining Plans two years ago with mixed reviews among guests, but as long as you drink alcohol at every meal it could be worth it for you. With kids I don’t feel like you get as good of a value back unless your kids are really good a regular eaters.
If you do have kids then you’ll have to decide if it’s a good value depending on how much your children eat. If they are good eaters then the Dining Plan might be for you. If not then you’ll have to add up the prices for how much you think they’ll eat to see if it’s worth it.
If you’re looking for convenience then the Disney Dining Plan of course will make things much easier as you can just pay for your meals ahead of time and not worry about that once you get to the parks.
You can always splurge and get Annual Passes if you go to Disney World enough and then get the Tables in Wonderland Card which will help you save a boatload on your table service meals, hough prices on Disney World Annual Passes just went up recently too…
There was also a recent increase in Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Parking Fees today too with prices going up $1-2 per night.

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.

I've used the dining plan last two years and I'm going back to disneyworld in jan 2020 but I'm disappon That some of the normal restaurants that have always been included are no longer on the list including rainforest cafe, planet Hollywood etc. In fact the list of venues in Disney springs has halved. I'm hoping it's an error
