Starting this Summer June 1st the Classic Space Mountain theming is returning to the beloved dark coaster in Disneyland Park in Anaheim and the Hyperspace Mountain is leaving. This will be just days after its 40th anniversary.
Space Mountain originally opened in Walt Disney World in 1975 and was then opened shortly after in Disneyland Park California in 1977. It has had its current Hyperspace Mountain theming since November 15th, 2015 which was to celebrate the Season of the Force event.
Don’t expect long a long closure to bring Space Mountain back to its classic form as it should be a very quick and easy process.
While I appreciate the Hyperspace Mountain theming, I tend to lean towards the Classic version myself, so I’m not upset about the change. What about you?
Your Thoughts:

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
