Any chocolate lovers out there?? That’s ok, I’m really not either, but in either case you are still going to love The Chocolate Studio which has the best combo of desserts at the Food and Wine Festival.
That Liquid Nitro Chocolate Almond Truffle with Warm Whiskey Caramel and Sweet Dark Chocolate Raspberry Torte with Whipped Cream get me coming here every time and are the reason my wife banishes me off to the treadmill for days at a time.
Hopefully they are as good as always so let’s find out in my Chocolate Studio Review: 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival….
The Chocolate Studio Marketplace:
The Chocolate Studio is conveniently located right next to The Cheese Studio in one of my favorite sections of the Food and Wine Festival. Walking to/from Future World West to World Showcase you can’t miss it!
This year the whole area was re-built and transformed for a better guest experience and I love what they’ve done with it! Here are some of the nearby tables you can eat at:
The Chocolate Studio Menu:
Nothing big changed on The Chocolate Studio menu this year, two of my favorite desserts are still here: the Liquid Nitro Chocolate Almond Truffle and Dark Chocolate Raspberry with whipped cream.
Besides that the drinks are all the same too. It would be nice to get something else added to the menu at some point, but for this year that’s how it is.
Food:
- Liquid Nitro Chocolate-Almond Truffle with Warm Whiskey-Caramel (GF) ($5.25)
- Dark Chocolate Raspberry Tart with Whipped Cream ($4.25)
Beverages:
- Twinings® Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea and Chocolate Shake (Non-alcoholic) (KA) ($5.00)
- Banfi Rosa Regale Sparkling Red, Piedmont ($10.00)
- Daou Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles ($7.00)
- Croft Fine Ruby Port, Portugal ($5.00)
- Twinings® Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Frozen Cocktail with Caramel Vodka ($11.00)
Menu Review:
These two desserts are definitely some of my favorites at Food and Wine, so I’m super excited to try them again this year!!
Liquid Nitro Chocolate-Almond Truffle ($5.25):
The Liquid Nitro Chocolate-Almond Truffle isn’t only one of the most mind-blowingly good desserts you’ll ever have, you also get to see a show at the same time! Prepare yourself as the chef drops some chocolate ice cream into liquid nitrogen at a cool -330 degrees!!
What comes out (after layering it with a whiskey caramel sauce and crumbles) is a work of art!
It almost looks too good to eat…almost I said! Just as good as usual any chocolate lover is going to go nuts for this! It has a super rich chocolate taste and that smooth caramel sauce on top is the perfect addition…as if you didn’t already know that!
Oh yeah, best part: it’s Gluten-Free, so anyone with a gluten allergy doesn’t have to worry about anything. There is really no thinking involved here. If you want a life-changing experience, you’ll eat this!
Sweet Dark Chocolate Raspberry Tart ($4.25):
So if it couldn’t get any better, it arguably does with the Dark Chocolate Raspberry Tart. This year it takes on a different form in the shape of a bar instead of a half circle, but it’s equally unforgettable!
I don’t have to explain how awesome the combo of raspberry and dark chocolate is do I? The chocolate is so decadent, and not dry at all but creamy inside. Plus the raspberry coulis breaks up the sweetness with a little tart and you have yet again another dessert you can’t do without.
As much as I like the Liquid Nitro Chocolate-Almond Truffle, this is just as yummy and another one you absolutely can’t miss!
Twinings Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Frozen Cocktail w/ Caramel Vodka:
There are two versions of the Twinings Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea, one as a frozen shake and the other a frozen cocktail, I know you know which one we got!
It’s the perfect blend of all your favorite fall flavors, and even though there is caramel vodka (yes think about that one), it’s not overpowering at all. Think of this as a happy chocolate milkshake!
Booth Summary and Grade:
I will say I had hoped The Chocolate Studio would have added another dessert this year to the 2 already incredible ones they have. But even so, I’m going to give The Chocolate Studio high marks because they have two items I think you can’t go home without getting.
Add the Pumpkin Chai Tea Frozen Cocktail to that list and you are a happy camper! After munching on your savory items somewhere else, skip whatever dessert is there and head here instead, you won’t be disappointed!
If you have to get just one thing:
How can I choose? Get the Liquid Nitro Chocolate-Almond Truffle AND the Sweet Dark Chocolate Raspberry Tart!

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
