Disney is now updating 2 of the Canada Pavilion Totem Poles which are some of World Showcase’s most recognizable symbols. The new poles are being created by the same artist who made the originals, David Boxley.
The work is already underway and the dedication ceremony for the new totem poles is planned for January 20th, where the Git Hoan dancers (People of the Salmon) will break them in with dedication festivities. They then will perform at the International Festival of the Arts on Jan 21st and 22nd.
Can’t wait to see what the new ones look like, it’s a must to be there for the opening!
Your Thoughts:
I want to know what you think about the Canada Pavilion Totem Poles getting replaced. Are you sad to see the old ones leave? Do you think it was a good idea to get the same artist this time around? Let us know in the comments section below, and post some pics of you with the old Totem Poles if you have them.. 🙂

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
