Due to the sheer amount of construction going on right now, Disney has announced that all runDisney Races for Disneyland are cancelled for 2018 and the immediate future.
A Disney Spokesman had this to say:
“While construction for the next several years will impact our ability to deliver the runDisney experience our guests love, we are excited about our future as the Disneyland Resort continues one of its largest multi-year expansions. For fans who love to be part of runDisney events, we will continue to offer races at our other properties around the world in 2018.” – George Savvas, Disneyland spokesman.
The last runDisney event in Disneyland for the foreseeable future will be held November 9th – 12th, which is the weekend of the Super Heroes Half Marathon. There is no word on when any runDisney events will return to Disneyland after that, but seeing as Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge will be opening Spring/Summer 2019, I wouldn’t expect anything until at least Fall of 2019.
If you’ve already signed up for a future race, runDisney will inform you on how to get a refund.

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
