2017 Epcot Food and Wine Festival with a Record 35 Marketplaces

2017 Epcot Food and Wine Festival record number marketplacesIf you’ve been to the Epcot Food and Wine before you know how much fun it is snacking your way around World Showcase Lagoon.  Well now your legs are going to be a bit more tired as this year it’s bigger than ever before.  The 2017 Epcot Food and Wine Festival is going to have a record number 35 Marketplaces where you’ll be able to visit and of course sample food!

A couple of the new marketplaces this year are India and Spain which both shared some of the dishes we can’t wait to try this Fall.

Spain: One of the items at the Spain Marketplace is the Charcuterie in a cone (photo above). This is great for snacking on the go!

India: There’s the Spicy Korma Chicken with cucumber-tomato salad, almonds, cashews and warm naan bread…anything with Naan Bread and I’m in!

Also in India is a really good sounding dessert, Pistachio Cardamom Cake with a dollop of chocolate coconut mousse!

My only concern with this many marketplaces is I hope the quality of the existing booths doesn’t fall.  It’s been too much the trend lately that the prices have been going up at Food and Wine and the portion sizes have been falling.  The portion size/price ratio should be more in line with the Food and Wine festival they do at California Adventure.  Food and Wine is my favorite event of the year and it needs to get back to being the juggernaut it was before.

The 2017 Epcot Food and Wine Festival is going to last 75 days this year which will be a Food and Wine record (August 31st – November 13th).  Schedules are still being worked on for all the Food and Wine Festival events so stay tuned for updates.  I hope you bring your walking shoes and your stretchy pants….you’re gonna need both!  See you there!

Your Thoughts:

I want to know what you think about the 2017 Epcot Food and Wine Festival record number marketplaces at 35.  Do you think it’s too many?  What countries would you like to see represented?  Let us know in the comments section below!

If you enjoyed this article, as always I appreciate it if you’d share it with others via social media.  I work hard at making this website into a useful resource for you and your family to plan your visit to Walt Disney World, and I hope it can help you! Thanks 🙂

Thank you so much for your thorough and honest reviews of the food and drink at f & w. We go every year and we don't like to waste money. Your reviews are the only ones that include portion size and price increases. Can't thank you enough. Please continue. I read every booth review. The only thing I will say is that we seem to be the only ones that hate that bread in Brazil and we eat everything. Go figure. We also are not afraid to return items for an exchange or money back. They have never given us a argument about it. We don't do it often of course but you can do it.
