The food in Walt Disney World is always changing and it’s very hard to keep up, that’s what I’m here for! There were some nice food additions this past month so I want to share with you the Walt Disney World New Menu Items May 2017.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios:
A couple great new burgers have landed at the Sci-Fi- Dine-In Theater Restaurant, which feature a signature blend of beef. The first is The Drive-In BBQ Burger with house-made barbecue sauce, bacon, cheddar, crispy-fried jalapeño and onion straws on a brioche bun. If you are a Vegetarian, don’t worry, they’ve got you covered with the new Falafel Burger with a crispy chickpea falafel patty, arugula, tomato, Tatziki sauce and red pepper aioli on a brioche bun.
A new pasta dish is on the menu at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at Epcot! I didn’t know Norwegians knew pasta, but the the new Fylt Pasta sure sounds yummy! Wha four-cheese stuffed pasta with white wine-cream sauce, roasted vegetables, chive oil and balsamic glaze is enough to make we wanna try some!
Casey’s Corner on Main Street USA is featuring a new Specialty Hot Dog debuting on June 4. The Buffalo Chicken Dog features an all-beef hot dog loaded with shredded buffalo chicken, garlic-ranch dressing and celery.
If you are more of a Pizza-person then don’t worry, Frusta has landed at Cool Ship in Magic Kingdom Park. Pizza Frusta is a folded pizza-like snack that is easy to eat on-the-go! You can choose from tomato and cheese or pepperoni and sausage.
I know everyone is over at Pandora: The World of Avatar these days, but take some time to stop by The Smiling Crocodile as well. They have some new Open-faced BLT Sandwiches to try, including your choice of turkey, salmon or pimento-cheese on toasted ciabatta with lettuce, tomato, and thick-cut smoked, house-roasted bacon. Each sandwich is one snack entitlement on the Disney Dining Plan.
Walt Disney World Resorts:
As being someone who always hates choosing, now I can have both as the Surf and Turf has returned to the menu at Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! This dish pairs a six-ounce lobster tail with a six-ounce sirloin served with Yukon gold rustic mashed potatoes and roasted spring vegetables.
Some new specialty candy-inspired beverages are now available at Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort! The Gummy Oasis sounds like an interesting choice, and features gummy bears lounging in a delicious frozen pool of frozen cotton candy lemonade. The other is The Watermelon Crush and features Nerds® candy mixed into frozen watermelon and cherry lemonade. Talk about a sugar high! And if that couldn’t get any better, they are both also available in alcoholic versions for adults! 🙂
So many good things to try and so few calories to spend, we’ll do our best! What about you?
