It seems like Disney is doing a regular Behind the Scenes look at Pandora: The World of Avatar featuring Joe Rohde and this week it’s a behind the scenes Placemaking Pandora. In the video Rohde describes the construction of Pandora and the link between it and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
He goes on to tell how in the Animal Kingdom places like Asia and Africa have their own cultures and the lands were designed as closely as possible to match the real world versions, and how Disney Imagineers went literally to the ends of the earth to design Pandora and give it a unique culture of its own too. Finding a realistic culture for Pandora was paramount to its creation.

The whole thing looks fantastic and it’s going to be an experience like no other you’ve ever witnessed in a theme park! Stay tuned for more updates…

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
