Star Tours Adds Brand New Scenes from “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”

The finale in the Star Wars trilogy has just hit theaters and today, Disney made an exciting addition to one of their attractions in celebrations of this. Star Tours: The Adventure Continues now has a brand new scene from “The Rise of Skywalker” which can be rode at the Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disney Resort.

Star Wars the Rise of Skywalker scenes added to Star Tours

Disney has done this with the release of the most recent Star Wars films, and it’s no surprise they are doing this for The Rise of Skywalker too.

So far in our missions aboard the Starspeeder 1000 we’ve been to locations from the original series, Jakku, Crait and even Batuu. Now we’re going to see some new locations from the 9th film in the Skywalker saga.

New planet locations for Star Tours include:

  • Kef Bir – the planet where the wreckage from the second Death Star is located, also the home of new Star Wars member Jannah
  • Exegol – this is the location of the final battle and puts guests right in the middle of the action.

The mission for Star Tours starts off with a hologram of Lando Calrissian preparing guests for their mission. We think this is a great addition to the ride as we loved seeing him in The Rise of Skywalker too!

Overall I think adding new scenes is a great idea, and a way to keep an older attraction fresh. They did this a couple of years ago when The Last Jedi came out and added Crait and Jakuu. I would like them to keep adding more and more scenes, even from places in the Disney+ series like The Mandalorian, the Rogue One series or the Obi-Wan series when those come out.

Now if we could only get Disney to come out with more missions for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, we’d be golden!

Your Thoughts:

I want to know what you think about the The Rise of Skywalker scenes in Star Tours…

  • Are you happy about the addition?
  • What locations would you like to see included?
