Rosita Coming to The Tropical Hideaway in Disneyland Park

Rosita Coming The Tropical Hideaway DisneylandIf you’ve ever wondered what happened to Rosita, the bird from Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, we now have an answer for you.  Wherever she was, Disney has made the announcement that Rosita is coming to The Tropical Hideaway in Disneyland Park!

The Tropical Hideaway is a new exotic marketplace located in Disneyland’s Adventureland, conveniently right near the Jungle Cruise attraction where you will experience tastes from around the world.  Rosita the friendly cockatoo is going to be a featured part of the theming, with the animatronic figure being located down by the river’s edge at the loading dock.

The Disney Parks Blog say: “Pull up a nearby seat and say hello! But beware… she has a repertoire of jokes and one-liners that would make any Jungle Cruise Skipper proud!”

When The Tropical Hideaway opens it will feature exotic eats such as: 3 types of warm steamed Bao Buns, Chilled Ramen Salad, Sweet Pineapple Lumpia (like in Pandora The World of Avatar) and various tropical-inspired snacks and drinks.  It won’t have a full table service menu like the Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom, but I’m really excited to see what interesting offerings the Disney Chefs can come up with.  It also looks to have a killer atmosphere and we’re pretty happy that Disney is working some theming into the place with Rosita now in the fold.

Disney hasn’t given the official opening date yet for The Tropical Hideaway, stay tuned for more…
