The construction has been underway for quite some time now and finally today November 8th, 2018 the new Disney’s Hollywood Studios parking entrance is now open to guests which came through early this morning. Thanks to @Bioreconstruct on Twitter we have a first look at this new entrance at sunrise in the shot above.
Instead of the old entrance which was located on World Drive, this new entrance to Hollywood Studios will be accessible from Osceola Parkway. The previous entrance has been partially dismantled and will be used for cast member parking only.

This new parking entrance to Hollywood Studios will be crucial in directing the traffic flow next year when Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge opens up and half of the world will be trying to get in. This new entrance is much bigger and will be able to handle the traffic accordingly.

This new entrance is not the only upgrade for the transportation to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Disney Skyliner which will connect the park with Epcot and multiple Walt Disney World Resort Hotels in the area should be up and ready to go by mid-2019 too. All of this helps for the even bigger picture of the 50th Anniversary in 2021 and the years beyond.
