Disney just released a new DuckTales Trailer today and after watching it I am so pumped for the new series it isn’t even funny. It’s like being able to live my childhood afternoons all over again. This all new DuckTales series debuts this Summer on Disney XD! It’s a revival of the original TV Series that was on the Disney Channel from 1987-1990. The trailer is so good, check it out!
The show starts out with Donald Duck introducing his nephews to Scrooge McDuck, who is their grand uncle, and will apparently be looking after Huey, Dewey, and Louie “for the weekend.” After that you can only imagine what kind of trouble they get into.
The cast is rediculous, featuring David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck; the successful comic trio of Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, and Bobby Moynihan, playing Huey, Dewey and Louie respectively; and Kate Micucci as Webby Vanderquack, and Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack!
One thing you’ll notice right away is the old style animation for the show. It’s so much different from the original version which was more complex and seemed to have more detail. This one is made to look a bit older and worn, I guess I’ll just have to get used to it.
I love seeing Donald involved too, I wonder if he’ll have a part in the series or we’ll just see him in the first episode and that’s it. We also get to see Scrooge’s famous money vault (I’ve always wanted to take a dive in there!
There still isn’t an exact release date besides “Summer 2017” so I’ll let you know when I hear something. I can’t wait to see how the show develops!

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
