Many months ago we told you that an NBA Experience is coming to Disney Springs in Walt Disney World, replacing the now currently being demolished Disney Quest. However we have been waiting for more details, including the opening date. Today Disney announced that the NBA Experience in Disney Springs is coming in Summer 2019. Along with this good news is also the bad, and today we saw DisneyQuest being completely demolished where this new NBA Experience is going. Although I hate to see Disney Quest go as it’s a big part of my childhood, but I have to say this thing looks unreal!
Just look at the size and scope of the building, it looks huge! You’ll also notice from the patented architectural style that it looks more like a modern basketball arena than a store. You can see from the photo there will be huge monitors displaying NBA games, big glass windows and a striking roofline. Disney’s aim is to make the NBA Experience as engaging and fascinating as the real NBA is.
“We are inspired by the design of the new building and the energy that it will bring to the West Side of Disney Springs,” said Senior Vice President of Disney Springs and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex Maribeth Bisienere.
The state-of-the-art space will include interactive games and competitions, immersive experiences, a retail store and an adjacent restaurant.
NBA President, Global Partnerships Sal LaRocca, also talked about the project, saying, “This one-of-a-kind experience is sure to be enjoyed by basketball and Disney fans of all ages who visit Disney Springs from around the world.”
We can’t wait to find out more details about the NBA Experience in Disney Springs as soon as we can!

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
