The My Disney Experience app is always adding new features to give guests the best experience possible and with the latest My Disney Experience update they’ve added Shop Disney features to it. While there is a separate Shop Disney app available to download, guests can now enjoy the same opportunity to shop for souvenirs and gifts fright from the front page of My Disney Experience.
My Disney Experience keeps all its same features like checking your FastPass+ reservations, restaurants, bus wait times etc, and browse the Shop Disney merchandise. You can search through all the different categories and buy whatever you want right from your mobile device.
This however (at least as of now) doesn’t change anything for the Shop Disney app as that will continue to run as normal as well as the website.
This isn’t the most life-changing update that Disney has every done to My Disney Experience, and it’s not anywhere near as useful as the Bus Wait Times feature that Disney recently added has been. This effectively just makes it more convenient for people because instead of switching apps, you will have all your WDW needs right there together. But that convenience might be appreciated by some guests.
