For about a year now we’ve been waiting for the newest addition to Typhoon Lagoon, my personal favorite Disney Water Park. Well get your bathing suits ready because Disney has announced Miss Adventure Falls Opening March 12. That’s only a little over a week away!! Miss Adventure Falls is a family raft ride, which will be the first expansion from Typhoon Lagoon almost since the park’s opening.
It’s going to be the longest attraction at either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach at around 2 minutes long and it’s going to send guests twisting a turning, even in the dark. A cool part of the ride is there are going to be unique artifacts collected by the attraction’s main character: Captain Mary Oceaneer, who Disney describes as “a sea-faring treasure hunter” who was caught up in a rogue typhoon. These artifacts will be part of the experience as you make your way down in the raft.
It sounds awesome, and while I think both Disney Water Parks still need a lot of work if they are going to compete with other Water Parks being built in the greater Orlando area, this is a step in the right direction and something the park really needs.
Your Thoughts:
Again I want to hear from you and know what you think about Miss Adventure Falls Opening March 12. Are you going to go to Typhoon Lagoon on your next trip to try it out? What else would you like to see come to Typhoon Lagoon? Let us know in the comments section below!

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
