Last month we told you that The American Adventure is closing for refurbishment from January 15th to February 15th and that it would have some changes. We also told you Epcot’s American Adventure is getting upgrades when it reopens this month, and they sound like they’ll be a big improvement to the current show.
The American Adventure tells the story of the United States of America, or at least as well as you can do it in roughly 30 minutes. To do this it uses 35 audio-animatronics figures and a giant screen for the storytelling. That technology is getting a big upgrade, becoming an all-digital projection system now, with a new screen and speakers too. The American Adventure’s iconic anthem “Golden Dream” has been completely re-recorded with a new orchestration which will bring the show to life in ways it couldn’t in the past.
But it won’t just be the technology that’s different in the American Adventure, the show is adding American icons such as music composer John Williams, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and noted ballerina Misty Copeland.
The American Adventure reopens February 15th, 2018.

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
