After what seems like an eternity of waiting, The Edison in Disney Springs is finally open to the public, with soft-openings happening throughout this week, starting today. The Edison reservations can now be made on OpenTable for dates starting January 15th, 2018. This follows a trend of being able to book other Walt Disney World restaurants on OpenTable.
The Edison is a lavish “Industrial Gothic”-style restaurant, bar and nighttime destination set inside of an old power plant. Expect classic American food, artisan craft cocktails and unparalleled live entertainment. Speaking of which, children aren’t allowed in The Edison after 10pm, where the entertainment is definitely more geared for adults. It will be interesting to see how this plays with the Walt Disney World going crowd.
Operating hours are Monday – Thursday 11:30am to 1am, Friday & Saturday 11:30am to 2am. We’re still waiting on details about info for the Disney Dining Plan and discounts for Annual Passholders. The Edison is definitely one of the things we are most looking forward to for 2018 so we can’t wait to try it! Stay tuned for more…
