Live-Action The Lion King Official Trailer Released Today!

Today Walt Disney Studios released the first Full-Length Official Trailer for the Live-Action version of The Lion King. Watching this gave me goosebumps and it looks like it’s going to be everything we’ve hoped for in the highly anticipated remake.

The Lion King Official Trailer

The Lion King is being directed by Jon Favreau (who has been quite busy for Disney lately) and stars the voices of: Donald Glover, Beyoncé, James Earl Jones, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Billy Eichner, Seth Rogen, John Kani, John Oliver, and Alfre Woodard.  Also the original score is being done by Hans Zimmer.

I’m not usually too keen on remaking the Disney classics I grew up with, but in only the 1 min 30 seconds that it lasts, you already have a sense that this is going to be really special!  Just hearing James Earl Jones reprise the role of Mufasa makes your hair stand on end…

Disney also released the new Live-Action Lion King Poster too, showing young Simba.  Isn’t he the cutest thing you’ve ever seen???
