The Cheese Studio, Hosted by Boursin Cheese is a brand NEW booth for the 2017 Epcot Food and Wine Festival. The mysterious name leaves us wondering what exactly they are serving up over there! Expect everything to have cheese obviously. They have a Braised Beef “Stroganoff”, Cheese Tart and a delicious Cheese Trio. For real this sounds like my kind of place! I’m dying to find out what they taste like so let’s see in my Cheese Studio Review: 2017 Epcot Food and Wine Festival….
The Cheese Studio Booth:
The Cheese Studio is in one of my favorite sections of the Food and Wine Festival. It’s located on the pathway leading from World Showcase to Future World West, right in between the Wine and Dine Studio and The Chocolate Studio. Can’t beat the location:

Menu Review:
The first item we tried was the Braised Beef Stroganoff, which happened to make my list of Best NEW Items at the 2017 Food and Wine Festival. It was that good! Beef was really tender and basically fell apart when we ate it, didn’t hardly need a knife. And that sauce was really out of control good too! Love the creamy fine herbs and cheese sauce, very savory and not too strong. The egg noodles underneath were also great, kind of like spaetzle you would find in a German restaurant, and the sauce just coated them which we gobbled up almost instantly. Pickles are kind of a weird addition on top but we’ll live with it. Highly recommended!
After the Beef we went right for the Fine Herbs Cheese Tart, which had arugula and aged-balsamic on top. Now this was one I liked but wasn’t super crazy about. The portion was HUGE and easily can be split by two people, and at only $4.50, probably one of the best bargains you’ll find. Don’t get me wrong it was good, it had a nice onion flavor which was really strong so warn your significant other before consuming, the cheese was very creamy inside and also good flavor.
A close-up shows the inside of the Cheese Tart:
I guess my only complaints are that the crust was a little too think which took away from the flavor of the cheese, and also I thought it was going to be at least a bit warm, instead it was almost cold which turned me off a bit. But if you like onions are cheese give it a shot as you’ll probably like it.
Lastly we of course had to get the Cheese Trio! This was incredible also and made it to the bonus section of my Top NEW Food and Wine items list. This was very light so if it’s a hot day it’s a good option. We each had a different favorite when grading them.
I personally loved the Profiterole best, has a distinct garlic and herbs flavor, but is contrasted with the apricot jam giving it a little sweetness. Very smooth. They are like little cheese balls of happiness that you just wanna keep popping in your mouth!
The Smoked Salmon Pinwheel was my wife’s favorite, which had Boursin Shallot and Chive Cheese and Everything Seasoning. Again the contrasting flavors of the salmon, which was smoked to perfection, plus the chives cream cheese is something you can’t skip!
Last was the Strawberry Strawberry Macaroon with Boursin Pepper Cheese, my first time having a “savory” macaron. This was also great, strawberries and cheese are awesome together and the macaron was very delicate and chewy. Incredible trio!
To drink the Leth Steinagrund Gruner Veltliner is an excellent choice. Grüner Veltliner is the signature grape of Austria, and by far the nation’s most widely planted wine grape. The aroma is a little spicy with a reductive fruit, and the taste packs a punch with a very complex in flavor tasting of ripe, zesty lemon peel and white pepper. Sounds strange but really works!
Booth Summary and Grade:
Overall I thought The Cheese Studio was very good. One of the better new booths for Epcot Food and Wine 2017. I’m not going to say it’s the best new one (that’s between Flavors from Fire and Coastal Eats), but you should definitely stop by. The Cheese Trio and Beef Stroganoff are the stars here, and it would have scored higher if I was a bit more crazy for the Cheese Tart. Will be interesting to see if it sticks around next year so make sure and try it now to be safe!
If you have to get just one thing: Beef Stroganoff
Grade: 8

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
