Today we got word of the Ale & Compass Restaurant replacing Captain’s Grille in Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. We already knew about the lobby lounge at Captain’s Grille changing to the Ale & Compass concept, getting a whole new interior with 58 seats and a completely new menu of cocktails and appetizers, but now a whole restaurant is coming.
The Ale & Compass restaurant is going to be a Table Service gastropub, and going with the theming of the Yacht Club will feature New England-inspired comfort food. Just by looking at the concept art you can see it’s like stepping into a lighthouse, with a warm ambiance of natural wood and a cozy fireplace. Ale & Compass will be open for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, and will participate in the Disney Dining Plan. Menu details are still being worked on.
Outside the restaurant will be The Market at Ale & Compass, an airy new market offering shopping and a Quick Service dining location where you can get food on-the-go. Some options include an egg white wrap, spinach and feta pastry, or sticky bun. For Lunch and Dinner try specialties such as Grilled Paninis, Ham and Cheddar on a Pretzel Roll and a Veggie Sandwich with roasted broccoli and garlic, kale, almond, golden raisins and cheese on a whole-grain baguette. A drink station will have Soft Drinks as well as Specialty Coffees and Smoothies.
Disney’s Yacht Club is certainly getting a nice makeover, stay tuned for more updates to what’s coming!

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
